Can he pay for Sarah Palin to fly in?

In spite of everything, the Palins are still standing. If they want to come, they'll buy their tickets themselves.

What an amazing woman! She had the energy and intellect of fifteen normal people, to be writing and being published until the very end.

God bless her! And condolences to her family.

Hope they ask Donald to speak.... and he does it in reverence.

I'm hoping he doesn't. Better yet, not to sit near the front and to just blend in with others in attendance. Or at least try to.

My exact thoughts as well.

RE: “Was hoping he would attend.
Respect is not something the people are used to seeing.
This is good.
I pray for his safety.”

I agree. He should blend in and honour this dear lady in the same manner everyone else does.

Having said that, her book about him came out the next day. I wonder if she would want him to speak....further the movement.

I doubt if Trump will speak at the funeral Mass. If the family asks him, he could read an Epistle or Old Testament passages before the homily. This will be a Catholic Requiem Mass. This will not be like Paul Wellstone’s funeral or Whitney Houston’s funeral.

I was not a Donald Trump fan and he was never going to be my choice but comma he just makes the Right Moves and says the right things, and I’ll be voting for him

No wonder he was popular with the ladies

"Inappropriate" word in light of secret service attending.

Considering its in MO, should have said "shucks."

No, he won’t speak and shouldn’t, The media will turn it into a circus claiming he is politicizing her death. He will be there, pay his respects and leave. They will also use it to demonize her to taint him by association. This is a no brainier. Anything he says about her should not be at the funeral. Just my opinion.

Except Kennedys, Bidens, Pelosis, etc. They get Cardinals, Archbishops, and a canonization thrown in.

George Will called them “20,000 rollicking mourners.”

I remember a guy who got up and yelled, “We’re gonna organize, organize, organize...” I think he said.”organize” about fifteen times. It was sinister. I never heard anything so totally Bolshevik in my life. There is a totally alien Marxist nation inside our borders. Godless baby killers steeped in an alien culture.

It would be incorrect to have a non-Catholic act as a lector.

Protestors are appropriate for Phyllis Schlafly. They protested her during her life, so at the end let them do their damndest.

They only emphasize our respect for her and the reason why.

Your fears are totally unfounded. I attended the Trump rally in Everett, WA last week. There were 15,000+ people in line to get in the Xfinity arena. All were wildly enthusiastic. The protesters couldn’t be more that 100, and all looked sad and pathetic with low energy.

I was hoping that he would, so I am glad to hear this. If Trump wins, it’s too bad Phyllis won’t be here to see it.
