Over the past few days, much has been written and said about Wednesday nights MSNBC Commander-in-Chief Forum, which ostensibly pitted former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton against Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, but which, in reality, featured a much more daunting foe for the first woman nominee for president.
Much of that analysis rightly scapegoats moderator Matt Lauer, who not only obsessed about the now-discredited Emailgate controversy, but by all accounts gave Donald Trump a free hand to lie, and utterly failed to challenge him on key areas.
Its hard to know where to begin with Lauer, who not only allowed Trump to tell whopper after whopper without any attempt at pushing back, but failed to ask Trump about a host of clear liabilities in the subject matter area, such as his comment about not liking prisoners of war because they got caught, or his failure to release tax returns that would allow voters to determine whether he has compromising financial relationships with foreign entities, or his roiling and racist feud with the family of Captain Humayun Khan, or his ignorance of the nuclear triad, or his multitude of disturbing positions on NATO, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. I could literally go on all day like this.
I realize Lauer had limited time, but at least four of Lauers questions were, essentially, variations on Hey, do you really think you can be president, or what?

Of course, there is NO MENTION of Hillary's lies.
Conservatives were upset with Matt Lauer’s performance at the forum because Lauer very obviously tried to “take Trump down”.
Liberals were upset with Matt Lauer’s performance at the forum because Lauer failed.
The Ministry of Propaganda is trying as hard as they can to elect the most despicable human being to ever run for the office.
It’s not easy trying to sell cancer.
They have to OCCASIONALLY tell the truth about her or they look even more ridiculous.
You could just see it on that reporterette’s face when she asked for an “immediate fact check” about the hammers, and it was proven true... Her face said it all: “[for crhissakes hilLIARy we cannot cover this up...]”
The Media is corrupt and on the take
Bubbles are bursting.
Remember when Tommy Christopher left Mediaite to found his own blog? Didn’t last very long.
Or the MSM is angry because Trump—learning the lessons from President Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns—is aggressively using social media (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter) to bypass the MSM.
Score ONE BIG POINT for Lauer and old school journalism...
Here’s Hillary’s biggest opponent: her own health. The very fact she’s got a full Emergency Medical Services (EMS) staff—including an ambulance!—constantly following her (Trump doesn’t have one on his motorcade) is very telling on the state of her health.
Lauer allowed Hillary to ramble on and give lawyer-eze non-answers while he would cut off Trump to ask another question.
Exactly. I think “confrontational” is a fair word to use when describing how Lauer interacted with Trump. He interrupted, he disagreed, he pulled out tweets from years ago. He clearly didn’t like Trump’s message.
No sane person in the world would describe Lauer as “confrontational” toward Hillary. He asked questions. She answered questions. Very simple, straightforward journalism.
Rat Lauer gently tossed fluff balls at ILLary, while looking the other way at her ramblings.
He then proceeded to DEBATE Trump, on EVERY question.
Trump should refuse to participate in any more leftist moderated events. Insist on conservative balance (Hannity, Ingraham, Bartelomo, etc.)
I must conclude from this article that Comcast/NBC has deserted hillary for Trump /s
The more Trump pulls ahead of the lying and corrupt incompetemnt aligned against him, the more of this blatantly biased crap we’ll see in the media.
I thought ayahuasca was supposed to lead people to a higher truth.
