One of my co-workers heads out of town a bit to the north. The news keeps saying it IS POURING right where she is going. Not fun on the only road out of town.

WOW! I woke up in the night and finally figured out it was rain on my skylight, and pretty hard.
Not a monsoon tho...does your yard drain pretty well?
We have a creek in the back yard.

The weather is gorgeous again, but the storm was a definite dividing line between the summer and autumn weather.
I don’t know about teaching Lynn-Dah new tricks, as she is an old dog!

My Mom will be 92 in February and can walk only a few steps because of horrible osteoarthritis, but she has an electric wheel chair. A combination of macular degeneration and hearing loss leads to LOTs of hallucinations. So far we are managing. I'm having to learn to walk away without saying anything to avoid the numerous arguments. Her short term memory is getting worse, but so far I think we are avoiding both Alzheimer's and dementia. My prayers are that we can just deal without those problems. She wants to be home until the end and so far refuses getting any help in during the day (I'm still working full-time). I will know when the day comes and it will just happen. We have a wonderful neighbor who will come 24/7 when she has fallen.
