According to new reports, Greta Van Susteren did not leave her show on Fox News willingly but was abruptly forced out by CEO Murdoch.

Money.cnn.com reported: A sharp knock on the door signaled that Greta Van Susteren's time on Fox News Channel was over.

A courier arrived at Van Susteren's Washington, D.C. home at 9 a.m. Tuesday, hand-delivering two letters that said that Van Susteren "was being taken off the air" immediately, according to her husband, John Coale, who is a high-profile Washington lawyer.

Van Susteren was already planning to leave, but she thought she would be hosting her 7 p.m. program "On the Record" for a few more weeks.

It was also a message from Rupert Murdoch. Van Susteren has been one of the top anchors at Fox News for the past 14 years.

Murdoch, the patriarch of Fox's parent company 21st Century Fox, disliked her recent attempt to renegotiate her contract, and the unusual courier visit was a result of that, said one of the sources interviewed for this story.

“Fair and balanced is out and his kids are taking over and turning fox into a Leftist agenda driven net”

I am afraid that is what is happening. Maybe Murdoch’s globalist friends are putting the bug in his ear. What ever it is I do not like it.

I live in rural America...and have Comcast service for cable and Internet, called and asked about OANN and they told me not available in my area...

Comcast keeps raising the rates, after the election, will look into another service or maybe Dish service..

If Hillary is selected through FRAUD I possibly will drop cable all together..

Not only that but they also refused to let her say “Goodbye” to her audience..if she were only on FNC for a year I can understand why, but she has been on FNC for YEARS, she should have at least been given that..and her web site..”Gretawire.com” was immediately removed..now when you go to greta.com it directs you to “petconnect” which in a way is nice considering Greta is a big animal lover..Unfortunately Fox News has gone left, far left..for ratings, for money, who knows..they pulled the same crap in 2008 too, rooted for Obama to win, and now they are doing the same with Clinton

Funny you should say that. Exactly same time tonite during kelly, all three cables turned their dials to Pam Bondi. I imagine that is what will take the place of the tightening polls and the deadly emails.

Gee I can hardly miss something I never watch anyway. That being Fox News. Left them years ago.

Breitbart is much better anyway.

Well maybe not.He has a network in crazys because of Ailes.I would not keep on a person who was leaving because of the clause if Ailes left and yes I would have fired her on the spot and removed her from her office .Just me.

Her relentless coverage of the soldier who was being held in Mexico was no doubt a big part of what finally embarrassed them to the point of letting him go and also getting the attention of our own officials to take action to get Mexico to let him out - Obama and the State Department wouldn’t do a thing. For that she has my utmost respect for not letting the story die until that situation was finally resolved.

Look for RSBN to become a channel.

FNC is 24 hours of infotainment every day. The last few years, they have been light on the “info” and heavy on the “tainment”.

I ditched ‘em long ago.

FBC talks “politics” all day long. It is nauseating. LOL... I watch it on “mute” because their stock ticker/commodity price format beats CNBC’s... who, btw, actually spends most of their time talking talking about business. (Just be ready to mute the tv whenever you hear anybody mention Steve
Liesman or John Harwood and it’s not that bad really ... uh,.. as long the market is open. After 4pm, cst, it is also unwatchable.)

Kinda makes a guy miss the ol’ shortwave BBC days.

Reading the whole article it seems Greta told fox she was leaving on Thursday evening. She was not happy her contract was not going to be renegotiated and was unhappy with fox over last year or so. My sense is this is more a case of Murdock saying you want to, why wait. Her trump stance probably added some urgency to his dumb stupid incesensitive action. What an asshole.

With the lines now drawn between the old ailed crew and the Murdock family group with the whole ailes sex crap layered over both sides fox must be a terrible place to work now.

Murdoch, Soros, Carlos Slim - they’re all pulling the strings. If Fox’s Murdoch is embarrassing Carlos Slim that won’t happen for long. And somebody will take the blame.

The line about she thought things would get better with Ayles leaving makes me think there is much much more escapades going on

Over the holidays Greg Jarrett appeared either hung over or having a bit too much. Is it a party atmosphere in the DC bureau ? NY?

Who were the other two women who settled for cash because of harassment ? Gretchin who settled for $20,000 was the third.

OANN streams on Roku.

I would suggest you drop the TV portion and get a nice antenna and streaming box like Roku, but for the former you may not get reception if you are in a rural area far from the transmitters for your local stations.

To me, it seems that Murdoch wanted Greta out ASAP so Hume could take over the slot sooner rather than later.

So, he screwed her over and bounced her out after 14 years of delivering solid ratings.

Hannity, Pirro, Watters and Guilfoyle are about all that is left that I can care about.

The rest are useless.

I can’t even watch Fox anymore—after almost 20 years of viewing.

I cannot stand the format—the host of any of the Fox shows all day long—tell me the news, then have two three or four people on to discuss the story they just told me.

Half the discussion is the liberal viewpoint which I don’t want to hear anyway.

If I wanted to hear that viewpoint, I would tune in to CNN or MSNBC.

Repeat all day ad nauseum. Same 10 stories over and over with Fox News Alerts every 3 minutes. Bong!

Since August 2015, we discovered it all was all marketing at Fox News—they were not conservative nor did they respect any conservative viewpoint.

Another Trump Effect.

Murdoch needs to go.

But we shouldn’t wish our Aussie friends to take him back. We shouldn’t wish that on them!

Where should we send him? South Africa? Mexico? Syria? How about Cuba?
