What was in the glass of water that wasn’t in the bottle Hillary Clinton was holding?
While the Democratic presidential candidate was talking to reporters aboard her campaign plane on Monday, she suffered her second massive coughing fit of the day.
Instead of taking a drink from the bottle of water that was in her hand, an aide handed her a glass of water.

That time Marco Rubio got so much criticism for drinking water during a televised speech, was it from a bottle of water? Wouldn’t want to be seen doing the same thing as Rubio.

I’m not aware of any really effective cough suppressants that don’t contain narcotics (like codeine), but perhaps there are some.
She can’t afford taking anything that would make her woozy or fuzzy. So she’s kind of stuck putting up with coughing if she wants to stay somewhat sharp.

I’m reminded of a visit to China in the late 1980’s. Because China did not have a tradition or skill of embalming their leaders (unlike the Russians), and without Russian help, the rumor was rife that the local experts did not do a very good job on Mao.
Therefore, the decade after his death, peripheral bits of Mao’s body began to fall off. When I was there, the rumor/joke was that his ear had to be replaced with a bit of painted cauliflower.
Anyway - any lie or diversion will be used by the state and its massive elitist bureaucracy to keep the corpse looking presentable.
I would prefer to believe that the aide knew Hillary lacked the presence of mind to drink from the bottle. She too is programmed to drink from the proffered glass always at hand

I doubt there was anything in the water. It looked to me that she felt it was beneath her royal dignity to glug water from a bottle, and that when someone brings water for her highness it had best be in a glass.
Wonder if that explains the hole in her tongue viewed a couple weeks ago???

Sometimes a glass of water is just a glass of water.
But in this case, it was a glass of water on a private plane. When I have been on private planes or commercial jets there is usually just little plastic bottles of water or in the case of a commercial flight the attendant pours from a large plastic bottle into a small plastic cup. Convenience is important since who is going to physically wash actual glasses and dishes and such?
The fact that they had an actual glass ready filled with water (or whatever it was) ready to hand her, at the back of the plane away from her seat and personal belongings, is a little questionable.
