Muslim leaders in the US fear people will think they are celebrating 9/11 after it emerged a major festival has the potential to fall on September 11 this year.

According to the lunar calendar that Muslims follow for religious holidays, Eid al-Adha looks set to fall around the 15th anniversary of the 2001 Al Qaeda atrocity which claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 people.

And as they prepare to mark the 'feast of sacrifice' there are concerns among the Muslim community that people will misinterpret the festivities as a celebration of the attacks, which saw terrorists flying hijacked jets into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

Fears of "Anti-Muslim backlash" on 9/11?

Whatever happened to fears of a terrorist attack AGAINST US on that date?

Chalk this up to 8 years of 0dungheap.

There WAS celebration in America and Egypt and elsewhere but we aren’t supposed to remember it.

City E-mail Endorses Terrorism
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2001 AT 4 A.M.

On September 12, almost exactly 24 hours after terrorists slammed hijacked jets into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, an accountant in the Houston city controller’s office sat at his keyboard and typed a gloating e-mail to a friend in the city legal department.

“What’s your take on this bombing?” asked the sender, a slight 30-year-old man of Pakistani descent. He went on to offer his view:

“I say it’s great and wonderful and probably the best thing I’ve seen in my life.

“The world got what it deserved.

“Persons are rotten, evil, and thrash [sic] so this is what happens when they act like that and I hope a full scale war breaks out over this.”

The author got his wish and more. As military action raged later in Afghanistan, his leaked e-mail provoked a bureaucratic battle at City Hall that led to his resignation. After the worker left, superiors found that his computer contained prurient e-mails suggesting he had solicited and purchased sexual favors from a female legal department secretary.

Although the recipient of the original e-mail was his confidante, she found the terrorism message alarming enough to turn it over to her supervisor, Connie Acosta, the section chief of the department’s labor division. And there the matter apparently rested for two weeks, until a staffer for Controller Sylvia Garcia was forwarded a copy of the e-mail and alerted her boss.

“I was very offended by it,” recalls Garcia. “I thought it was sentiments of hate that, particularly when written the morning after such a tragic event, were very offensive and inappropriate for an employee of the city, being done on city time and using city property.”

Mr. Obama stood with the terrorists who attacked the Charlie Hebdo offices; that wasn’t “backlash” against cartoonists, they “provoked” the attack. Same with the “draw Mohammed” contest in Irving, Texas.

“Backlash” is only ever one way (even though no evidence of the claim is found for these supposed ‘hate crimes’) in this modern world.

61% of muslims in America are first generation immigrants.

Ask them (A) if America provoked the attacks (”Chickens came home TO ROOST!”) or (B) if someone else was behind the attacks.

There won’t be a backlash — there will be an act of muslim terrorism on that day.

Oddly enough, the anniversary of the Benghazi terrorist attack was also 9-11 (September 11, 2012) and the Secretary of Hate said the date was just a coincidence, it was backlash against a hateful video that was unkind to a long dead conquering warlord. Is the filmmaker still in prison?

We should move 9/11 out of respect. It wasn’t like any religion had anything to do with these attacks. These guys just needed jobs or it was some kind of workplace violence or something.

Osama Bin Laden was a billionaire but apparently the attacks happened because he needed a job and more foreign handouts.

Yes, it begins on Monday, September 12, 2016. Because it falls on a Monday - anticipate activities to be held on the weekend before...likely including the Sunday, 9/11/2016.

How very queer, Mr.Obama has staged the gay-friendly White House Easter Egg Hunt on the lawn of the White House on the Monday FOLLOWING Easter Sunday.

I predict Donald Trump will build two nearly identical towers at a slightly different angle and location perhaps further apart and definitely taller.
They will dwarf the current single tower. They will be equipped with anti plane and missile technology. The top floors of each will be military stations: Air Force space operations and a naval air-station. Think iron dome on steroids.

That’s my wish list.
Completion in six years... New York skyline to be whole again... And then some!

DONALD WAS THE ONLY ONE TO PRESENT A PLAN TO REBUILD THEM JUST AS THEY WERE!!!!

BUT THE FAMILIES OF THE DECEASED DIDN’T WANT THEM, FOR THE MOST PART, WE ARE TOLD.

That SICK FREAK built this horror (some jerkoff, liebeskind, something like that, and the skyline looks like #### now.

Glad I got to enjoy the real deal for 15 years.

Trump is the only common sense person running for any office in the country, it seems lately.

That monster must be slain (rhetorically)

Every year since 2001, we read about fears of the anti-Muslim backlash.

It never happens. Muslims are dogs who are crapping in someone else’s yard. We don’t care until they start to crap in our yard or they decide to growl at us. We should care, but we have too much other stuff to worry about.

They are forever saying we need to respect them, their culture and their feelings. Time for them to do the same.
