Former teammate Alex Boone isn't taking any more hits for embattled San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
The offensive guard suited up for five seasons alongside Kaepernick, blocking as defenders tried to get Kaepernick off his feet. Now, Kaepernick is voluntarily taking a seat, choosing to sit during the playing of The Star-Spangled Banner to protest perceived racial injustice. It may be a good thing that Boone, now with the Minnesota Vikings, is no longer wearing the same jersey as Kaepernick.

In the NFL those career ending injuries happen often.
I suspect there will be a couple of missed blocks from the lineman when he plays.
Fire the NFL
Fire the NFL
Can his ass! Wouldn’t want to pay some jackass in US dollars that flag represents!
It worked so well before when Michael Sam tried that stunt.
If your roster spot is hanging by a thread like his is, what better way to make the team than to create a situation that makes it impossible to cut him without appearing to be violating his civil rights?
I thought he looked like a mozlum POS.
(with all due respect to excrement)
Actor James Woods is slamming Kaepernick, on twitter.
They are pretty stupid. They are mad at everyone but those who enslaved them to begin with the dog humping muzzies and their own kind.
This douche bag knows he is finished in the NFL and wants to try and carve a future with the left, good luck with that Kapernuts!
Good for Boone!!
can anyone verify: a co-worker said that Colin Kaperenick (sp?) has been doing this “no standing during the National Anthem” stunt for a long time....is that true?
I believe Colin has the right to say/do something stupid, such as this, that is his RIGHT. But, just as he has a right to say/do anything, other people have the right to respond.
His assertion that this country is oppressive is simply IGNORANT! We have a black President, a black AG, we have black Mayors, Chiefs of Police, Fire Chiefs, etc...
Are there people out there that are racist? Yes; of every color and creed! But, you do not get a black President, elected twice, by a country that is 60+% WHITE, if that country is “oppressive” to blacks. PERIOD!
This whole BLM movement was started by the Trayvon and Michael incidents - both of which proved to be BS claims by other witnesses and evidence!
So, when you start supporting such idiocy, then you become a laughing stock! That is why, I believe, Clinton and the Democrats are losing many from their base, because even their base knows these claims are BS! And when you have multi-million dollar sports stars disrespecting the U.S., over LIES, I don’t think that will play well, come November.
What violation of his civil rights? It's perfectly legal to fire someone based on their politics.
Nothing wrong with his multiple Christian tattoos, just something seriously wrong with what’s wearing them.
He is not going to get on the field. They will not let him due to some injury clause that would pay off a heck of alot more than just finishing out his salary obligations.

What a great story! I often think of it and wish we had a large ship that perpetually remains offshore in which such idiots spend the rest of there lives, never touching the US shores again.
And in five years after he’s blown his millions on Escalades, hoes and bling he’ll blame America for that, too.
My dad had a "starring role" in that movie. He was an extra in a scene where there was some formal dance for the officers. Whenever it came on TV, our challenge was to watch closely during that scene and try to figure out which one was him. That was before we had the capability to record and rewind, so it was tough, especially since he didn't exactly hog the camera.
Remember that it's much, much easier to say, "I can't be successful because I'm a victim!", than it is to do the things that make you successful.
This guy is at the apex of his career, in a profession that's even more exclusive and well-paid than Fortune 500 CEOs. Rather than choosing to be a backup somewhere (likely), he takes the easy way out.
Too bad. But, I always thought that he had an attitude problem.
Can someone explain to me how we are oppressing black people when we’ve had a black president for 8 years?????
