But... but... but...
...Trump is going to be a drag on the down-ticket candidates!
Bill Kristol told me so!

It’s not the weak bench.
It’s the stink at the top of the ticket!

“Weak bench” isn’t the problem.
Caligula made his horse a Senator.
The DNC made Al Franken, Hillary Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama Senators.

Considering they have not produced a budget in the past six or so years, exercised their legislative powers as called for in the constitution which they swore to uphold, or acted responsibly on any treaties, I really question why we bother with a senate?
After all, if a president who is not authorized to spend a dime can send 1.3 billion dollars, and $400,000,000 in unmarked currencies to illegal foreign regimes in just one week, I'd say the senate should disband and do something useful. Like pick up trash on the interstate.

Trump is not going to be a drag on the ticket.
I know you disagree with that, but the GOPe probably still believes it.
Folks who vote for a guy, generally want him to be able to get things done. For that reason, they are more likely to vote for others in his party.

She does not care one whit about down ticket candidates, or whether or not they control the senate or house. All she wants is the title of POTUS, period. Every one else can go to hell..................

Democrats Weak Bench Undermines Hope of Taking Back Senate
You ever notice that the Democrats are always described as "Taking Back" the Senate as if a Democrat Senate is the default position. That's despite the fact that since 1981 Republicans have been in charge of the Senate for 20 out of 35 years.

If Trump does win as much as I expect, it will be absolute devastation on the down ticket. The best outcome is if the over-polling continues and the Dems stay home. It may just be a bloodbath for them.
