A school's name has never educated a disadvantaged child.

Good move...who would want a school named Villian Idiot. That gives a poor impression of its ability to educate.

That’s racist...
I don’t think so, and I’m glad they had some common sense here.

That particular newspaper should select better words.
Livid means being angry and a "dull, ashen, gray tone" which it sounds like she is NOT. :-)

“Obama School” would be far worse than “Martin Luther King Boulevard”. Besides having high crime, any schools named for the parasite soon to leave our White House are certain to have exceptionally high dropout rates.

Just 2 months after naming a school for the worst poet in the world instead of Obama - the worst president in history. That had to be a tough call.

Obama? Angelou?
A few better choices below. People who follow the American spirit by inventing, building, innovating... People who created jobs if not entire industries. People who changed lives.
Henry Ford
Louis Chevrolet / William Durant
Horace & John Dodge
George Eastman
Thomas Edison
J.P. Morgan
John D. Rockefeller
Andrew Carnegie
Cornelius Vanderbilt
Alexander Graham Bell
Benjamin Franklin
Samuel Colt
Eliphalet Remington
William Ruger
Charles Goodyear
Could go on and on. I acknowledge that there’s a certain commonality among these men that is demonized. A damn shame, they should stand on their accomplishments alone.
