Canada's national police force says it is allowing women in its ranks to wear the hijab.
A spokesman confirmed Wednesday that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, known as the Mounties, recently approved the headscarf for its Muslim officers.
"This is intended to better reflect the diversity in our communities and encourage more Muslim women to consider the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as a career option," Scott Bardsley, spokesman for Canada's public safety minister, told the Canada-based Global News.

How you going to know whether it’s a terrorist or not. Do we want police officers wearing masks so they can’t be identified ?
Is there a need? If not, is there a want? If not, why the constant pandering?
Why have decades of tradition as expressed in the rule book - standards for everything from height, weight, fitness, hair, tattoos, etc. etc.? Why is Group A expected to adhere to these standards when they are thrown out the window for someone wearing a dinner napkin?
If someone is openly demonstrating that they are subservient to males, voluntarily or involuntarily, and that same someone is indicating that their religion comes before all secular duties why would any law enforcement agency want such a cowardly, backward-thinking individual?

A lot of people slander Alex Jones, but his comments sections after each story, are a battleground of thought. Some of it is obscene and idiotic, but at least it's wide open. I like that idea.....the idea of free speech, with all its warts and carbuncles.

You brilliantly point out that under today’s rules, the United States of America could NEVER have become what it is today.
Rather, the land between the Atlantic and Pacific would consist of 48 independent countries, many of them in a virtually “state of war” against their neighbors. Kind of like the Balkans.
It is even likely that there would have been enclaves withing each “country” where either members of the majority or members of varied minorities would not be allowed to go.
I’m guessing that color would be too sexy.....they’ll go for black. Anything to buck convention is what they want.
