As for me, (too) I will take the word of one of our Olympians (yes, even the flakiest of them all, Ryan Lochte) over an inherently corrupt, 3rd world Banana Republic trying to make their disorganized and crime-ridden sports festival look like the poster-child for American bad behavior.
After reading this analysis, and following the election “coverage” over the past month, and the absence of info on the Soros emails, and the absence of any interest on Hilary’s health or ethical problems, it’s a wonder anybody listens to these hacks about anything.
I gave up on the MSM decades ago, but the stink of incompetence and bias has now hit levels I’ve never even imagined.
Exactly what I thought. Drunk athletes get rousted out of a cab by a man pointing a gun at them and demanding money, and Brazilian police want to quibble about petty details because it embarrasses Brazil?
They take a small time robbery and turn it into a big international incident because they have "Napoleon Syndrome". Brazil wants to think it is significant in the larger scheme of things, but first world countries don't get their panties in a bunch because of a sensitivity regarding what is said about them.
That Brazil went into a Drama Queen super melt-down immediately told me that this wasn't about the facts, this was about pride and embarrassment from a nation that was too sensitive to how it thought it would perceived by others. (usually the sign of a beta male.)

As little as I’ve watched, even I have seen MANY different forms of American journalists masochistically relishing the “Ugly Americans” HATED BY THE WHOLE WORLD-theme.
They just didn’t feel right until echoing one of maybe 20 different versions of that.
