Concerns relating to litigation about religious discrimination have some American employers taking steps to make the workplace more Muslim-friendly, Bloomberg News reports.
Anything from establishing prayer rooms to having office parties sans alcohol are just some of the things U.S. companies are doing out of deference for their Muslim employees.
“The atmosphere is so toxic now that even having constitutionally protected religious accommodation in the workplace can somehow be controversial,” Ibrahim Hooper, communications director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), told Bloomberg.
CAIR filed complaints on behalf of Muslims whose jobs were terminated last January at a meat-packing plant after they walked-out in protest over the restrictions on their ability to have prayer breaks.
Ariens, a family-owned Wisconsin based roto tiller factory, tried to accommodate its Muslim workers prayer schedule at its factory, The U.S. Herald reported, but doing so satisfactorily made the production line less efficient, Ariens said in a statement.
Muslims must pray five times every day, with one added prayer on Friday.
About 1 percent of the U.S. population practices Islam, but 40 percent of religion-based workplace complaints filed with the U.S. Equal Opportunity Employment Commission in 2015 were Islam related.
“The value you get back from an employee who feels welcome and accommodated for their religious practices is immeasurable,” she says. “If employers don’t start taking these issues seriously, and put in measures to ensure that no one is subject to harassment, we’re going to see more claims,” Michelle Phillips, an employment law attorney, told Bloomberg.

Maybe it’s due to the rich history of contributions to our country, like the urban renewal project in New York City in 2001.
If I worked for such a place, I would immediately seek employment elsewhere.
They are so stupid. Bending over backwards to accommodate people who are intolerant just makes you a slave to their demands.
Naive Americans think that they will assimilate beautifully as did the Irish, the Italians, the Germans, etc. who arrived here in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Dream on !

While Pubs/Conservatives mainly pursue careers in business, the Dems/Liberals have been busily getting law degrees and taking over the Courts with liberal judges, and the school systems with liberal professors, especially in the Universities and Colleges, mostly public but many private ones also, so that they can brainwash and pollute our children’s minds.
Liberals also hold positions in many, many government entities. So, while Pubs generate most of the income, Dems spend most of it up for us and place themselves in positions of influence where they can decide for what causes and where that money will be spent. And with the liberal Courts to back them up.
Liberals also have infiltrated most of the MSM, and have Hollywood in their corner to boot. Conservatives must go into these areas that are now dominated by liberals and take back many of these spheres of influence. We need more conservative lawyers and judges. We need our own conservative TV channels, we need more conservative professors in our school systems, and we need to deprogram our children from the hogwash they are being fed through the media and the schools.
We really, really need to get going in order to succeed at any of the above. And in particular, we need to get Donald Trump elected as our President or the future does not look good for conservatives in any sphere of life, and our Country will sink further into becoming a third world cesspool of corrupt elites ruling over a nation of sheep. Then their remains only one other option, ... revolution.
OK then. As a Catholic I will demand a rosary hour each day and Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Monday paid holidays. Lets see how far THAT would get.

The very existence of this group and their name spells out that American and Islamic are two distinctly different things which need a council for relations.
Islam is antithetical to our Constitution and way of life.
Islam means submission and there is no concept of liberty or freedom within Islam.
The two cannot coexist.

My God, we were separated at birth! I was going to post the exact same thing but decided to scroll down first.
A few years ago I read where some new hires wanted a separate microwave because they saw some employees cooking pork in the one available. I don't think they got it as management wasn't as cowed as they are now. To me, the solution is simple - don't hire them. All you do is bring in people who will constantly escalate their demands until the whole company is Sharia compliant.
Businesses NEED to STOP hiring them!!!!
