En route to cover Trump as he tours a police station and meets with officers here. He has a rally at 7.
You got to love it.
First off they menu is huge, like what you’d expect at the Waldort.
Next he gets a perfect dry martini served to him.
Thirdly everyone is dressed well.
In short, that was a time when American service was classy. You go on Amtrak now and you get Micro waved food on paper plates and plastic utensils. Maybe a can of beer.
It’s sad, but that’s what happens when the gov’t is in the transportation business.
We need to turn this all over to the private sector.

I’m going to see Ben Hur tonight. Anyone seen it yet?
“Touty?” You mean, “Trouty.”

Well YES!!!!!! Classic I tell you.
Thank you for celebrating with me.
My dinner was delish...Chicken Alfredo w/ fettuccine noodles and broccoli at my favorite, local, family owned Italian Restaurant.
Should have taken FRiends advice and had dessert first, no room after meal and still have lunch for today. Yummmm!
Not going to lie and say it was auto correct because you should know by now I'm a horrible speller. After-all I'm from Indiana. Get it? LOL
Thank you, Robe. I appreciate the local perspective. I also appreciate the efforts of other FReepers who advised me to check with the venue, like I hadn’t already done that. I did manage to get all the basic info I need, but it never hurts to get tips from locals when going into unfamiliar territory. Like backup parking. If the NASCAR Hall of Fame lot is full, I don’t want to have to wander around aimlessly looking for a place to park. And maybe a FReeper knows the best entrance to use for preferred seating. Or some other tip I wouldn’t know to ask until after we’ve been there. And if you get there before us, and find that they’ve blocked off an entrance, or there’s riots at the MLK entrance, or somebody painted a mural of Helen Thomas over the College St. entrance, these are things I’d like to know ahead of time.
