Well, as long as I can snowshoe up in the Gatineau Hills and skate on the Rideau Canal this coming winter, I am a happy man.

And then there’s this thing about the low sunspot activity.

I’m not laughing until I get the generator in and the wood stove hooked back up. Because when I can see my breath and there’s four feet of snow on the ground I’ll be listening to some eco-dweeb claiming that five below zero is two degrees warmer than before and regretting that I can’t choke that sucker over the Internet.

I just started following the farmers almanac predictions a few years ago. I’m convinced it is compiled by time travelers from the future.

I don’t doubt it. We may be heading into a La Nina with a heavy polar jet stream.

I live in western NY and the OFA couldn't have been more wrong predicting last winter:
"Winter will be cold again in much of the nation, with below-normal temperatures along most of the Atlantic seaboard and in the Ohio Valley, Great Lakes, Pacific Northwest, and southwestern states."
"It also predicts that snowfall will be above normal in most of the Northeast ..."
We had the warmest winter in 100 years and snowfall was way below normal.

Surely we can do better in refuting the climate change lies than quote the Farmers Almanac. That is embarrassing.

Regardless. Liberals could be freezing in a mini ice age and would simply forget about their man made global warming scam. Just like they forgot about how we were supposed to already be in an ice age by 1980. Etc.
Those people are seriously mentally deficient. It would be comical if it weren't so pathetic.

It’s my fault. I KNEW this would happen. Earlier this year I moved to, ‘Der Hinterlands’ with little chance of escape from Thanksgiving through Memorial Day.
But that’s OK. ;)

Didn’t you get the memo? It is “Climate Change” now not global warming. Global warming was too limiting. It covers nearly all scenarios to allow socialistic control of everything.

Time will tell.
With all the predictions for such a cold winter, I’m expecting a warmer than average one.

Last winter in Northern Illinois was too good to be true, so I expected there would be payback this winter.

Amazingly accurate. But it ain't "settled science" is it? Not since it predicts FUTURE weather, just like the climate change people do. Only it's shorter range and more specific.
To: rktman
It doesn’t matter how cold it gets this winter, the media will say, “it’s the warmest winter on record”.
The media just makes up its own reality as it goes along.

Since moving to Kentucky, I have seen more blondes and redheads than in any other state where I’ve lived. I figure it’s because a lot of the original settlers in the 18th century had Scottish and Irish ancestry. Therefore I don’t think the “Gingers” are endangered here, even if they are elsewhere.
