Now the EPA’s science advisors don’t like their own report on fracking(DOH!)

The draft report on hydraulic fracturing (“fracking”) from the EPA is nearing the end of its more than five year journey and the findings were a major blow to the green energy crowd. Try as they might, there simply was no evidence of systemic contamination to ground water or other resources and the report essentially gives the practice a qualified thumbs up. That didn’t sit well with the major environmentalist donors to the Democrats, so plans have been in the works to sabotage the report. That showed up this week when the ad hoc panel of science advisors to the EPA released their own rebuttal, claiming that the wording of the report isn’t up to par. (Washington Post)

DOH!. Suggestion. Cook the books a 375 for a couple of hours and see if that changes anything. Settled science my bohunkus. Or, maybe it's time for hollyweird to make up a new apocalyptic movie shaming us all into teslas or priuses.

They’re trying to figure out what the opposite of “fake but accurate” would be.

It is a mystery to me why EPA even did a “study.” Why not do as appears SOP now and merely announce they did a study and that it showed all the things they want it to show. EPA does not have to do any actual study. MSM will trumpet its announced results and legislators will legislate for them.

This is what happens when real scientists hand over report to political scientists; you get consensus.

The Saudis have paid for a ban on fracking and Hillary will see to it they get what they paid for.

True enough, but only if you tell those commissioning the studies what they want to hear.

Science: Admit your mistakes and correct them. It's part of the process.
Politics: Never admit to your mistakes. Play dirty. Blame someone else.

Sounds like they didn’t hire the right scientists. May they could borrow a few from the climate field.

Or you could write a scam book such as Rachel Carson’s phony screed,”The Silent Spring.” The tree huggers melted down about the thinning of birds’ egg shells and got the government to ban DDT. That led to the death of millions of African children, victims of mosquitos carrying malaria. But the Left counts this as a great success because they value birds more than African children.
