The Libertarian Party candidate for president, Gary Johnson, joined Al Sharpton on MSNBCs PoliticsNation Sunday to discuss the prospects of a third partys chances of success in 2016. But Sharptons real goal seemed to be to defend Hillary Clinton and discredit Libertarians by asking Johnson, Do you ever have any slight fear even that you may be taking votes from Hillary Clinton and helping to elect Donald Trump?
But before Sharptons blatant shilling for Clinton he took shots at the Libertarian Party in ways that seemed to be designed to discredit them. Now I couldnt help but notice youve talked about criminal justice reform. You talked about reforming these sentencing laws, Sharpton inquired of Johnson, Can this be a new way of expanding the support of the Libertarian Party? The MSNBC host implied that the Partys position on criminal justice reform was a new play to expand themselves, but in reality those kinds of reforms have been important to them for a long time.

Basically this is a situation of solid Trump supporters vs a divided 3-way anti-Trumper group. 4-way if you count the recent entry of Elmer Fudd McMullin.
I’ve got an idea, Al! Why don’t you start a write-in campaign for Joe Biden!
You know what? I’ve always like Gary Johnson. and wondered, why wasn’t he running for president?/
The trash bags are piling up across this fair land...
Gary had better watch himself if he’s out walking at 3 AM.
Sharptoon supporting Klintoon, quelle surprise, felons supporting felons!
Hmmm. Is that a subtle call for violence against gary johnson?
What’s the matter Al, can’t you find some innocent guys and charge them with rape?
Ah... good times huh Al.
Most of what I’ve flushed down my toilet is of higher value than this guy.
What was your first clue, Einstein?

Wow, I am impressed with the loyalty between criminal political scumbags. This may be a real first. Sounds like Felonious Al has been receiving money from the Clinton crime family and associates....that is all it could be for a bottom-feeder like Al.
My calculation, based on all the nationwide AND battleground state polls, a combined sample of 35,000+ each week:
week ending July 25 - w/Johnson and Stein - Trump +2; w/o Trump +3
Aug 1 - w/ Hillary +4; w/o Hillary +5
Aug 8 - w/ Hillary +5; w/o Hillary +7
Aug 15 (so far) - w/ Hillary +5; w/o ditto
so, J&S help Trump in one week by 1 point; they help Hillary two other weeks by 1 or 2 points; and in one week, no effect.
wait, I’m trying to average -1, 0, 1 and 2 without recourse to Excel, I think this comes out to an average of 1/2 point advantage for Hillary, with a plus or minus factor of 3, and that’s not including a possible poll bias of up to 6 points.
I hope this clears things up.
Sharpton is fretting? Good!
Elmer Fudd McMullin. I would like to see someone photoshop McMullin’s face onto Elmer Fudd.
The polls look like the libertarians are taking from both Trump and Clinton. Some of the libertarian vote is the libertarian vote. So of it is ‘neither’ who then choose a third party.
Stein steals a lot from Clinton, I imagine.
Nobody will know Elmer in a few years. They won’t show any cartoons with guns any more!.........
Like Lincoln in 1860, Trump is being help greatly by having a very divided opposition. The supporters of Angry Santa who won’t support the Wicked Witch will vote for one of the minor party candidates (e.g., Gary Johnson or Jill Stein). Meanwhile, the Trump support is strong and growing. Odds are good for January 20 being a day of celebration for America.
Yup! If the angry southern "fire eaters" at the 1860 Democrat convention in Charleston hadn't rejected Stephen Douglas and backed another candidate, Lincoln would surely have lost. Instead he faced a divided front of 3 candidates.
And many on our side fear Johnson is taking votes from Trump. We even see it on here.
