And None So Deaf as They Who Will Not Hear
Belmont Club Blog ^ | August 12, 2016 | Richard Fernandez

The average person could see the invidious contrast; how easily the email accounts of 100 Democratic bigwigs could be hacked, with what contemptuous ease someone could make off with the DNC's emails, steal all the OPM records. They watched as time after time suspects "well known to the police" executed successful terror attacks in Western cities despite the assurances of the laughing men.

They saw ISIS run off with billions of dollars of foreign military aid; saw the "smartest people" in history rolled. They were regaled by the spectacle of Putin booting Obama out of the Middle East with a midget air force and a rustbucket navy. They witnessed a bunch of armed thugs torch a US consulate in Benghazi without the dying ambassador even able to make that 3 am call to Hillary Clinton. They watched Turkey wobble and Europe overrun by migrant tides.

It hit them: it was these ineffably superior people who were the jokers...

Fernandez is consistently good, but this essay hits it out of the park.

Great article!

The fact that the inexperienced and ultimately incompetent Obama has the gall to call Trump “unfit” and it’s reported as a serious comment is an example of this. Anyone offering any support of the crook, the demolition derby, Hillary falls into the same boat.

We need reality...Obama, Hillary, the never Trumpers, in fact most of the “public servants” in Washington can’t sing.

No such thing as a hack proof system. Even the Pentagon gets hacked. http://www.mindblowingvideos.com/how-often-is-the-pentagon-hacked-i-didnt-know-that-even-the-pentagon-is-so-vulnerable.html

...but there is one culprit who ... who deserves his due: Jon Stewart.

It's sad that a third-rate "comedian" managed to do so much damage.

I tried watching his show, with all the buzz at the time, and was immediately turned off by his questionable smugness. Colbert was still on the show. About the only redeemable segment in my very limited viewing was his book interview with Jim Lovell.

A preponderance of Americans are smart enough to know when their pockets are picked and when they are lied to. About 1/3 of our fellow citizens are too afraid to think beyond their own gullibility. That is almost all that is left of the left’s coalition. We are going to win this election. The real test of our resolve will come 1- if DT is stopped by criminal action, or 2- when he wins the presidency and the American people are required to take on the power structure in every institution in our culture.

“Jesse Bernstein in Tablet thinks that the root cause of the blindness was insufferable smugness of the intellectual elite. Jon Stewart’s “Culture of Ridicule”, Bernstein wrote, left kept the best and the brightest from seeing the train wreck coming.”

While correct, it’s not just about the ‘insufferable smugness’. It is primarily because the ‘intellectual elite’ aren’t intellectual or elite. One of the biggest scams and illusions in American society is selling the public on the notion that where you go to college, or if you go to college, defines your level of intelligence. It doesn’t. Ironically, the same liberals who ‘think’ they represent equality and fairness are actually the biggest snobs on the planet. Equally ironic is that they have no basis upon which to be so smug.

TOALLY agree with what you just wrote. We are being fed a lot of “optics” and outright lies and are told we are vulgarians if we don’t believe the baloney. Unfortunately this works for some...i.e. women with college degrees for Hillary.

Reminds me of Churchill’s quote: “Mr. Attlee is a very modest man. Indeed he has a lot to be modest about.”

Love it! Along those lines is the Reagan quote:

“Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn’t so.”

trying to put a time line together that relates to the la farge kennemetal piece from earlier this week, I copied an excerpt from this article today re: the $400 cash "ransom".

1979 - Jimmy Carter was POTUS - who struck this deal
1979 - Bubba was arkansas Guv.

so, was hildabeast on the la farge/kennemetal board in 79?

excerpt follows:

John Carlin, a Senate-confirmed administration appointee, raised concerns when the State Department notified Justice officials of its plan to deliver to Iran a planeful of cash, saying it would be viewed as a ransom payment, these people said. A number of other high-ranking Justice officials voiced similar concerns as the negotiations proceeded, they said.

The U.S. paid Iran $400 million in cash on Jan. 17 as part of a larger $1.7 billion settlement of a failed 1979 arms deal between the U.S. and Iran that was announced that day. Also on that day, Iran released four detained Americans in exchange for the U.S.’s releasing from prison—or dropping charges against—Iranians charged with violating sanctions laws. U.S. officials have said the swap was agreed upon in separate talks.

All the info gleaned from the hacked demodummies emails should be dumped onto the public so we can all see the amount of corruption the demodummies have perpetrated. Might help “cleaning house” of all of them.

fwiw:

hildabeast became “the first woman partner of Rose Law in 1979 the year bubba became Guv.

hildabeast was on the kennemetal board in 1990 making $31k/year.

however she had “done legal work” for kennemetal earlier in her career with Rose Law,

the famous missing Rose Law billing records had records of kennemetal’s charges from that “earlier” part of her career.

“Barack Obama bids fair to be remembered as the Florence Foster Jenkins of politics. Like that socialite he can’t perform his job for beans. “

So the author of the PJ article strikes at the heart of the matter!!

ZOT!!

From my favorite rock and roll band's song entitled,"I Know You're Out There Somewhere" by The Moody Blues, comes this lyric:

"....that there are none so blind as those who will not see."
