Three weeks after Roger Ailess ouster as chairman and chief executive of Fox News, the cable network has promoted two people to top leadership positions.
The veteran Fox executives Bill Shine and Jack Abernethy were named co-presidents, Rupert Murdoch, the Fox News chief executive, announced in a statement on Friday. Mr. Shine will be in charge of programming at Fox News and Fox Business Network, while Mr. Abernethy will be in charge of finance, business and legal affairs. It was also announced that Fox Newss longtime chief financial officer, Mark Kranz, is stepping down.
Bill Shine has developed and produced a signature primetime that has dominated the cable news landscape for 14 of his 20 years with Fox News, Mr. Murdoch said in a statement. His leadership and keen eye for programming has played a fundamental role in the success of both Fox News and Fox Business Network.
Mr. Murdoch also said that Mr. Abernethys appointment will ensure continued growth of Fox News and Fox Business Network for generations to come.
This provides Fox News a leadership structure for the time being as the network navigates an election season and an uncertain future, while also dealing with the departure of Mr. Ailes, who helped Mr. Murdoch start the network 20 years ago but left in the wake of sexual harassment allegations by the former anchor Gretchen Carlson. Mr. Murdoch, also the executive chairman of 21st Century Fox, Fox Newss parent company, is expected to stay in the role of the networks chief executive until at least through the presidential election in November...........

Meet the new boss.
Same as the old boss..............
“...an election season and an uncertain future....”
Fox’s future is most certainly UNCERTAIN. So much depends on how this election turns out. In the absolute worst case, if Hillary wins, they will swing far left or be put out of business by a Marxist dictator and probably spend their final days without the Constitutional protection of a proper SCOTUS and an ignored Constitution.
Anyone who can present Shine's background and political leanings? If he's a liberal, I would fear for the continuation of the commentators at Fox Business, the only popular cable outlet which has by far a conservative viewpoint upfront in its reporters, led by Stuart Varney, Lou Dobbs and Charles Payne.
Get ready to start hating FOX.
So they will continue to be overrun with flannel-mouthed pukes.
Fox just announced. Several positions
Last statement was there would be little change in company as people were already working at creating Fox as it is today
Someone posted (on another thread) that top talent had laid down the law...about no left leaning changes.
Nor Shep Smith.
Megyn Kelly, I can take or leave.
Greta is good, Martha is good, O'Reilly has a mind like a brick.
All the others are pretty god.
I forgot - Judge Jennine (sp?) Pirro - terrific!
FAUXMegyn News Corp is only rumored to be “conservative”. They are but an empty shell of what they once were, as a voice for conservatives.
One look at who they put on the payroll to pose as “conservative” is laughable.
Possibly, there are three, out of all those talking heads. The rest are dubious at best. Some may have their moment or two, but they’re at best center left.
Lou Dobbs, Hannity and the Judge Janine.
I have already noticed a subtle change. Luntz is diminished in favor of a woman. Kelly is on more and more time off. FNF is not as jovial and Killmead is being even more of a clown than usual. Watch for changes in show line up in the next few weeks.
Will watch and see if Andrea comes back.

Right after Ailes was ousted, Rush Limbaugh did say on his radio show that he hoped his replacement would be Bill Shine. So I take this announcement as good news.
