Libertarians working to get Gary Johnson on Ohio ballot

COLUMBUS, Ohio While Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson is set to appear on ballots in at least 39 states, swing state Ohio is among the places where his supporters are still working to get the former New Mexico governors name out to voters this fall.
Whether hes successful could make a difference to Republicans, particularly the fortunes of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, who is in a close race in the state with Democrat Hillary Clinton. Johnson on the ballot could complicate the Ohio race for Trump if conservatives who want a smaller government want a choice other than the celebrity billionaire.

Libertarians are not a recognized party in Ohio. The way Johnson plans to get on the ballot is to use a placeholder, former Ohio candidate for governor Charlie Earl, on petitions to get on the ballot, then switch the name to Johnson once they are accepted. The legal status of this tactic is questionable and will be under review by the SOS's office.
Tactics like this make one wonder whether this is all supported behind the scenes with money and legal support by the Clinton camp.

"Im more libertarian than these guys, and Im not even a libertarian."This is a bizarre year. The Libertarian ticket consists of a eGOP candidate for president and the VP candidate is a liberal Democrat.
The Republican candidate is a conservative Democrat. The Democrat candidate is a neocon warhawk.
At least the Green Party candidate is still a moonbat.

These turncoats should not believe for ONE second that real Americans are not taking down their names, and all of their individaul details that can be found, and regardless of how the November election turns out, there is going to be a day of reckoning for those who would sell out America by stabbing Trump in the back who is the ONLY candidate who can defeat Hillary Rotten Criminal.
Johnson and all of those wannabe spoilers had better be looking over their shoulders, you just never know when someone might stop by late at night to show their 'appreciation' for their efforts.

Johnson on the ballot could complicate the Ohio race for Trump if conservatives who want a smaller government want a choice other than the celebrity billionaire. The MSM better get their narrative straight. How could Johnson entering the race in Ohio cause complications for Trump? We've been informed Clinton is ahead in all the battleground states by double if not triple digits. If so, what difference does it make?

There’s more than one so call conservative who is entering the race at this late date. One can only deduce it’s to steal away Trump voters. A few voters here and a few there add up and can change a tight race. Remember how a few hanging chads would have changed history.

Perhaps, except in polls, Trump does better when Stein & Johnson are listed, meaning they hurt Clinton.

I am not a fan of Johnson who I don’t recognize as a true libertarian. That said, the fact that the two main parties can successfully use their power in state legislatures to block the third largest political party in the United States from access to the ballot in so many states is disgraceful.

Ordinarily the Ohio Secretary of State (R) would rule Libertarian out of order. However, with Kasich trying like Hell to stop Trump, anything is possible. Trump is not only fighting Hillary and Media but the GOP
To: StAnDeliver
Just reporting what was in the article. Apparently the required number of petition signatures for Charlie Earl to get on the ballot (subject to signature verification, of course) were submitted on time. For Johnson’s name to appear depends on the legality of the bait and switch.
