Mika Worries More Hillary Emails Could Cause ‘Epic Implosion’ That Would ‘Bring Down Campaign’
Legal Insurrection ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 08/11/2016 6:13:32 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

A few days ago in our Quick Hits feature, this Insurrectionist wrote “the server is a Sword of Damocles over Hillary’s campaign. Whatever the polls may say, Clinton knows that she is just one disclosure away from disaster.” Has Mika Brzezinski heard the hair holding that Sword start to fray? Today’s Morning Joe reported on the disclosure that a senior Clinton Foundation official had contacted close Hillary advisers Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills to request, as something “very important,” that they set up a contact between a billionaire foreign Foundation donor and the US ambassador to Lebanon.

Reacting, Mika said “as a Clinton supporter, I think the bigger question is, what is going to come out? Could something big come out? Could we have implosion of epic proportions. Could you say that the candidate you support doesn’t have something lurking here that could bring down her campaign?”

So the issue isn’t whether Hillary is a crook. The issue is whether she’ll get caught.

I don't believe it.

These stories are coming out so that when there is some email leaks, the media will say that it's old news, already been discussed.

It's the same thing they do all the time with the Clintons. And it works every time.

Methinks that’s why her VP is a largely unknown (no apparent baggage) with relatively right-leaning views

WHAAAAAT!??!!?

Who are you trying to kid? Kaine? "relatively right-leaning views"? It's a little early in the day for booze FRiend, in 2008 Tim Kaine was under consideration as Barky's VP, and he told the VP selection team "If I were Senator Obama, I would not pick me, because we're TOO MUCH ALIKE (emphasis mine), I agree with him on virtually everything."

My perception at this point is that Hillary Clinton doesn't make it to November 8th, for health or criminal reasons, and they will indeed trot out Tim Kaine to take her place (probably with Elizabeth Warren as VP), but there will be NOTHING 'right-leaning' about that ticket.

Have to disagree. Yes, Trump is polarizing, but every other Republican would’ve been completely crushed by the media. Trump’s the only one who would fight back.

Let us hope that Hillary is stopped. However, I doubt that will ever happen as she has too many effective “protectors.”

I think the key point will be in debate #1, where Trump says something to the effect that he’s bringing in a special prosecutor on day one....to review all these emails and the Clinton Foundation. Then he might glare at the camera and suggest that if any Senator or Represenative is connected to the Foundation or the favors involved....they will be dealt with in a professional but dramatic way.

It would be nice if Trump could effectively get the message out that a vote for Hillary is essentially a vote for her to obstruct justice. Because in reality, if she wins, all her corruption will be covered up.

The lowlife ‘elite’ code is ‘I’ll overlook your corruption if you’ll overlook mine”...

Even that falls apart when evidence trumps fantasy... as is starting to happen.

“Hate to say it, but: if Hillary drops out, Trump loses.”

That’s like saying without Cankles Trump’s ideas are no longer appealing. Pure bovine droppings.

Well, they have Biden, Kerry, Warren, Bernie and Michelle as possibilities.

I have this argument with a #NeverTrump family member all the time. He is convinced that the GOP would be sailing to victory right now if they had nominated ANY of the other candidates who did not have Trump’s negatives.

I point out that they’d be working equally as hard to destroy Bush or Cruz or Rubio, and they wouldn’t be hitting back effectively.

That's exactly right.

Something else to consider here is that most people right here on FreeRepublic wouldn't be spending a lot of time defending those guys (with the exception of Cruz, perhaps), either. No matter how much we might support them for political reasons, the pathetic truth is that most of those GOP candidates were duller than drying paint.

Stop it! Stop it! STOP IT!!!!

The wet-dream fantasies of a Joe Biden or Liz Warren (or for that matter a Jeb or a Kasich) appearing on the ballot now is PURE FANTASY!

We are talking FIFTY different state ballot requirements, and a vast majority of deadlines that have passed. We’re talking over 3 dozen lawsuits if one were even to ATTEMPT running a substitute candidate at this late stage.

You can’t even get a court date to fight your traffic ticket in less than 45 days.

Hmm...I’d bet on Kerry as the stand in because I’d also bet that Uncle Joe really doesn’t want the job.

Besides, Kerry wants to avenge his loss in 2004.
