A State Department spokeswoman said Wednesday that the agency does not believe Hillary Clinton violated any ethics requirements by interacting with Clinton Foundation donors.
"We feel confident that all the rules were followed," Elizabeth Trudeau, State Department spokeswoman, said amid a backlash over previously undisclosed emails that showed the special access foundation donors enjoyed in the early months of Clinton's tenure at the agency.
Trudeau shut down questions during the agency's daily briefing about emails that suggested a Clinton Foundation official had informed one of Clinton's top aides that it was "important to take care of" an individual whose name was redacted. Clinton's aide responded that the agency was working to find him a position.

I feel for the briefer. The State Department will have a team of lawyers meet and discuss the ramifications, which will take anywhere up to a week. Likely the instructions will be to stonewall any questions. Clinton has exposed State to disgrace and ridicule. She has done real damage, not just to the intel community, but to the reputation of the State Department and by reflection, the President and the Democratic party and the United States.
The briefer can’t possibly comment without admitting all of that, which would end the breifer’s job instantly. The decision to come clean or cover up must come from the top, probably the president. That will never happen so where the department meets the press will be an uncomfortable job unless the press decides to give the poor breifer a pass. (Why not? They ignore Clinton’s role.)
Hillary will be the first pre-impeached President we’ve ever had. Billary will be the first co-Presidents to be elected, twice, and will be a matched pair of impeached co-Presidents. Peachy!
IF the Clinton’s and the State department have nothing to hide, why are they hiding it? Seems to me that actions speak louder than words. Sue them for the information and in another 5-7 years we might get to see one or two emails as they begin releasing them. The entire bunch are corrupt and a complete “exorcism” needs to be done.

The State Department does not have the authority to decide whether it was ethical or unethical. Clinton Foundation is based in New York, which is also corrupt as it can get, but that is where a grand jury would be convened.

This blatant bribery for access. It is a RICO case. Hillary is a criminal, we all know that but this takes it to a level that exposes the full State department and the DOJ as co conspirators! It was revealed today by Judicial Watch that the FBI made a request to investigate on probable cause which was DENIED by the Attorney General!!!. The whole damned bunch need jail time !!

The Trump/RNC committee PAC just sent an email to sign a petition “demanding DOJ launch and investigation into the scandal-plagued Clinton Foundation”.
I have no idea if it will even matter to have such petition, with the current DC/DOJ climate.
