An Iowa church just wants to be free to preach the gospel, but the states so-called nondiscrimination requirements could block the house of worship from doing just that.
Lawyers for the church are asking a federal court to prevent Iowa from censoring what the religious group can say about homosexuality, same-sex marriage, transgenderism and other related topics.
The case erupted when the states Civil Rights Commission first claimed the authority to control the content of sermons and then to define whats religious.
At issue is the states nondiscrimination requirements that specify any public accommodation can be ordered not to say anything that might make a homosexual or a transgender feel unwelcome, such as even reading from the Bible a condemnation of such behavior.
Lawyers for the Alliance Defending Freedom, who are representing the church, have filed a reply in support of their motion for a preliminary injunction that would protect the church members constitutional rights while the case plays out.

We are now approaching the level of tyranny Jefferson warned us about.
If these homo’s want to have this fight now, I say let’s bring it.
Donald Trump wants to repeal a Lyndon Johnson era law that prevents the discussion of political topics in houses of worship.

The black robe regiment needs to rise again
He wants to repeal the 501c3 requirement for churches (Johnson Amendment), IIRC. It’s the basis of what the state of Iowa is trying to do here, in this piece, and will be the basis for what can be preached in churches nationwide, if allowed to continue.
We’re far from that, IMO. I just read here on FR, only 30% of pastors discuss abortion in church. If a majority of church pastors will not even speak out against abortion, then I don’t expect much push-back against abnormal sexual behavior/marriage, or government decree.
Someone’s comeuppance is going to be very deserved and very great. They’re playing with fire and they keep on poking the cage. They’re about to get lit up. They’re going to get what’s due them.
This is very serious. The US freedom of speech is unique, no other country, in Europe or elsewhere has anything similar to this. Instead, they do ban certain opinions to be said. The Iowa law should be overturned.
>I think most of us saw this coming.
We did. This is the last election where out vote maters. Future elections will involve counting the dead and the number still armed and fighting.
yeah, that lesbian mayor in CA? or somewhere wanted to grab the priests’ notes last year, or something like that. It was shot down but next time it won’t be. Subpena. That’s what she wanted to do.
Anyway, if we’re really Prepared to Dance with the regime IF Trump loses, let me know how serious you all are.
I’ll start getting in shape.
Yeah i know, i should do it for myself, but i wont.
There may come a time when our words are put to the test.
Hillary says Christians will just have to change their beliefs. If she’s elected and stacks the courts with homosexual activist judges, there will be hell to pay. Literally.
Absolutely-—the sodomites want the children so pederasty is next for their NWO agenda where Vice is Virtue and Males are Female (radical egalitarianism (Marxism)-—a return to their Luciferean Babylonian religion of Ba’al Rites.
Forcing pagan and satanic religion on the Christian Church is unconstitutional. The State is endorsing and forcing Satanism by promoting the vice of Sodomy in our “Just” Laws-—lol-—there never can be “vice” promoted in a Just Law-—it is an oxymoronic statement-—just like “homosexual marriage”—no such union possible....males sodomizing males is irrational, degrading, meaningless and evil—just domination (never “love”).
The ROP is protected. Christians are persecuted.
Insanity.
Yeah i know, i should do it for myself, but i wont.
Not with cannoli the size of canoes lurking about you won't! :-P
Seriously though, just get your prayer life in order first, if you need to that is. I know I do! :)
It was the mayor of Houston, TX
The 30% figure is BECAUSE of the LBJ Rule and 501c3, which keeps many or most pastors in fear of IRS and other gubmint reprisals.
All this stuff is unconstitutional. And it is my understanding that the RC Church never submitted to it. 501c3 or anything else. Trump has stated that he’d revoke all of it. There are to be NO such burdens or restraints on churches or ministers.
yeah you’re right. No chance lol!!
I’d be next to useless in the battle anyway.
But I’ll buy cannoli for everybody!!! :)
As for when I die, the polls are all over the place as to where I’ll go!
Vote Trump
