Hillary Clinton has emerged from the two major party conventions and their aftermath with an eight-point lead over Donald Trump, aided by a consolidation of support among Democrats and a failure so far by Republicans to rally equally behind their nominee, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.
Clinton and her running mate, Sen. Tim Kaine (Va.), now lead Trump and his running mate, Gov. Mike Pence (Ind.), by 50 percent to 42 percent among registered voters, double the four-point advantage the Democrats held on the eve of the Republican convention in mid-July. Among likely voters, the Democratic nominee leads by 51 percent to 44 percent.
In a four-way race that includes Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson and Green Party nominee Jill Stein, Clinton leads Trump by 45 percent to 37 percent, with Johnson at 8 percent and Stein at 4 percent. Before the Republican convention, she had a four-percentage-point lead in a four-way matchup.

I am finding this a lot. I think they are “juicing” the samples with “adults.”
Since they’re already fudging numbers why not make it a double digit lead. It’s better for their narrative that Hillary is unbeatable.

Current polls show the race for President is much tighter than it really is. Ann Coulter warned us years ago in her bestseller Slander that Democrats and the liberal media always use polls to manipulate and discourage conservatives from voting. Thanks to social media there is more and more evidence that the polls are way off and if things stay as they are, Trump will win in a landslide!
It’s evident Hillary has a hard time filling a Union Hall while Trump regularly turns people away from his stadium and arena venues.

Again note that they are using registered voters not likely voters. At this late date if you are not polling likely voters your poll is going to be inaccurate.
It is a three way race to the White House while Hillary makes a run for the outhouse. When people say "she is the sh**" it is not an idiom.
In 2008 Turnout was +8D, Obama wins by 6, 2012, Turnout was D+6, Obama wins by 4. Who except an absinthe addict thinks the turnout will be D+10 this time?

538 Source: “In a panic. Our business model is predicated on making liberals feel better about the election. Right now? It’s a disaster.”
RTN: “So what are you doing?”
538: “Well, we’re changing the model for starters. There were a few hours when the server was showing the real projections and while traffic was pretty high, let me tell you, it was a melt-down politically.”

538: “Sure–what? You think it’s . . . random? Come on. Who do you think pays for the polls? People who want results. You’re buying media. It’s like ads or . . . I don’t know. Like newspaper stories? You pay 30k for a poll of Florida, it says what you want.”
RTN: “But what about on election day?”
538: “Oh–we drive it. You set the expectations ahead of time. It’s called pre-loading. You’d be surprised how we can fine-tune things. Mass belief is powerful. The problem here is (a) not everyone plays nice. Fox is rogue. Rasmussen was . . . bad. They were doing real polling. Also, there’s like a game of chicken. At the start of the cycle we do real polling so that everyone knows how they better buy in. This time . . . Trump just caught us by surprise. The impact was so big–it came on so fast–Hillary just collapsed.”
RTN:”What–what happens next?”
538: “I don’t know, man. There are a bunch of smaller groups out there doing real polls. I don’t know if anyone can keep this under wraps. They had to talk Silver off the edge of the building yesterday. It was bad.”

HarleyLady on Nov. 8th we are going to see massive lines at polling places to vote and it damned sure won’t be for HELLARY!!! Just as during the primaries people will be walking over broken glass to VOTE TRUMP!!! During primaries the CHANTS screaming contested convention ALL BS, Mr. Trump handily won primaries and WILL handily WIN general, NOV. 8th our Independence Day !!!!
I get calls from three different polling organizations. One I suspect is USC/Dornsife because they call me EVERY DAY. One is presumably Washington post because of the glee when i give me responses. They call every three days. The last is a computer poll, and that one is unpredictable but at lease a couple times a week.
Every time I gleefully report my unbelievably enthusiastic support for cankles, I’m registered, I voted in every presidential election since Reagan was in office. I’m a college educated (Bachelor’s plus) white male. One of the polls asks how many in my family votes, and I report me, my wife, my 21 year old son and my aging mother. ALL voting for cankles. Chicago Suburbs.
I have so much fun answering these polls it’s sick Wait till November!

They have to over sample Democrats as the population distributes itself that way. Republicans must garner the vast majority or independents to win.
Right now Trump will lose, but the serious decision making takes place in September. That’s when the polls are locked in. Trump better be within 2% on October 1st, or he loses.
