Oh man! Having to make a last-minute rush to get to work isn’t the best way to start the day, is it? Ouch!

Yes, it’s nice to see 18 getting fed well. Poor lil thing kept getting sat on by 17 and missed out several times.

18 had a close call last night that had me holding my breath for a bit. Lady got up to eat some of the fish on the edge of the nest and dragged 18 out of the nest bowl!
The good thing was she fed it while it was there, then managed to help it get back in the nest bowl afterwards. But that was after she’d left for a few minutes and that tiny bird was there alone.

I read about that in chat. That was a close call! Glad she helped him get back in. One of the Decorahs got stuck to a parents’ foot or wing and the same thing. He sort of crawled by himself, but he was a bit older than these two!

I was really hustling to get out the door in time and the traffic and signals, of course, were pokey this morning. LOL! But I made it.

Hi Mac...I’m really ready for the weekend.

My weekend list is “filing”. That’s it, “filing”.

Well, and take a load of stuff over to Value Village. I put it off from last weekend.

It happened at the Rome, GA nest too. That chick was about the same age as these two and was stuck outside the nest bowl for over an hour. At that age, they can’t move around on their own. The mom wouldn’t help it back and it was chilly at the time. We worried it would get sick from the chill but it came through fine.

Sometimes it’s a wonder any wild critters survive infancy.

Of course traffic is going to be pokey when you’re in a hurry. The traffic lights probably all turned red, too. That seems to be the way it works. LOL
