Funding Iran directly funds terrorism because the Iranian regime is effectively a terror state. Back in the Senate, Obama fought against the classification of the Revolutionary Guard, a key Iranian political-military institution, as terrorists. He's remained consistent since then.
3. This is simply treason. Obama is aiding and abetting the murder of Americans. He's funding terrorism. He's funding Iran's wars in the region, which aside from Israel, include campaigns in Iraq and Syria that have dragged the United States in.
The Obama administration secretly organized an airlift of $400 million worth of cash to Iran that coincided with the January release of four Americans detained in Tehran, according to U.S. and European officials and congressional staff briefed on the operation afterward.
Wooden pallets stacked with euros, Swiss francs and other currencies were flown into Iran on an unmarked cargo plane, according to these officials. The U.S. procured the money from the central banks of the Netherlands and Switzerland, they said.
Note the secretive Air America type tactics.
Since the cash shipment, the intelligence arm of the Revolutionary Guard has arrested two more Iranian-Americans. Tehran has also detained dual-nationals from France, Canada and the U.K. in recent months.

The $400 million was paid in foreign currency because any transaction with Iran in U.S. dollars is illegal under U.S. law.

Explanation I heard: it was Iranian assets long “frozen”, and released as part of the “we’ll let you build a nuke, just not now” deal. There probably isn’t a good mechanism in place to transfer nearly a half-billion $$$ electronically to that long-blockaded country, and when asked how they’d like the money they likely said “small bills, multiple currencies”. So (assuming it was per prior asset seizure) technically it’s theirs, and the Obama is just giving it back.
Better be right, or he’s facing treason.
He should be impeached, but almost all Congressmen and women have been corrupted with foreign money. The nation is going to be destroyed if someone doesn’t do something soon.
They should have used Zimbabwe currency. It would have taken a SUPER TANKER......................
Okay. So it really, really happened. Now what? Probably nothing with this lawless administration. Nothing. Obama only obeys the laws that he likes. His “Attorney General” (aka puppet and mouthpiece) similarly only respects the laws that she personally ‘approves of’.
That’s the narrative. The reality is that the US transfers electronic funds to Iran regularly through the banking system. $400 million is peanuts to governments... but it’s a fortune to terrorist networks. That’s what makes this transaction so suspicious. Why cash? Why pallets of mixed cash in unmarked planes? Many other governments are trying to convert to e-cash economies to stop drug trafficking and terror because cash lets them move freely. Here, Obama gives the world’s largest terrorist sponsor $400 million in cash!

Not a tax. It was a ransom payment, $ for prisoners. It has not been the policy for the US government to pay ransoms (such a payment only encourages even MORE persons to be kidnapped).
The back story is that the Shah, while still in power, had committed the $400 million to the purchase of fighter aircraft and other armaments, but they were not delivered before the Shah was deposed, and the US government at the time (no matter what else you may have thought of Jimmy Carter) was not going to deliver arms to a hostile regime. The money became a moot point after Reagan ascended to the Presidency, as the Iranians were all too happy to have avoided what would have been a devastating invasion.
I do not care what rationalization the Current Regime may give for this deal, the optics are, ransom money was paid in exchange for the release of prisoners held by an illegitimate regime, no different than the pirates that rove the seas off the coast of Somalia.
And the average American has no clue. Worse, even if given a clue, they don’t care.
It’s very difficult not to be depressed about America’s future. A vile, morally bankrupt, criminal political class, with a pacified, uncaring public.
Article I, Section 9, Clause 7: No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law [emphasis added]; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time.

Patriots need to support Trump / Pence by also electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support Trump’s vision for making America great again for everybody.
Note that such a Congress will also probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.
And the most egregious thing about it all is that American armed forces personnel were killed by the terrorists that were funded by that money.

Not quite what I heard. Frozen assets are not taken, so no need to pay them back.
The real deal is Iran paid us for fighter jets. Then the Shah was deposed (a whole nother story) and the plane order canceled, but we had the cash. So we’ve been holding that money since ‘79. Decided to pay it back now to further sweeten the Iran deal.
Kerry probably told them we’d pay this back if they release the hostages. Trump made them look bad by pointing out the hostages should have been released as the first part of the deal. So this is why all the secrecy. It was technically a legal payment, but dufus Kerry had to use it to get the hostages released. Otherwise no need to pay them back.
Ho-hum. Gotta go buy my lottery ticket & some cigs & Bud.
