Cruz quiet after convention speech, works to rebuild political brand
The Washington Times ^ | August 3, 2016 | Stephen Dinan

Ted Cruz has gone quiet after his daring convention speech, firing off fundraising pleas for his 2018 Senate campaign but otherwise keeping a low profile as analysts say he does the hard work of rebuilding his political brand.

He’s stuck his neck out, both personally and online, to boost several conservatives in the Cruz mold — only to see them lose their primaries...

Instead of being out and about, Mr. Cruz appears to be worried about his campaign bottom line, firing off a couple of pleas to supporters to pony up contributions ahead of his re-election race — which isn’t for another two years...

Mr. Jillson, the SMU political scientist, said the speech was a miscalculation.

“He thought he was reliving one of Ronald Reagan’s great moments, and that it would establish him as the conservative standard-bearer going forward, but the hall didn’t buy it, nor did the country,” he said.

Perhaps the worst signal came later in the night, when Mr. Cruz tried to visit the suite of mega-GOP donor Sheldon Adelson but was denied entry...

Perhaps he was just a bitter bitch that couldn’t let go... something he can mature from.

Did you ever misread the mood of the country?
Did you ever think the country was as interested
in you as you thought they were? Did you ever
come to the realization that, but to a tiny few,
you weren't more than a hill of beans?

Maybe Ted’s time is better spent trying to get an interview with Goldman Sachs. Heidi can help in this regard.

What a delusional fool, he had an opportunity to matter big and help the country at such a crucial time, but he put ego ahead of country:

“He thought he was reliving one of Ronald Reagan’s great moments, and that it would establish him as the conservative standard-bearer going forward, but the hall didn’t buy it, nor did the country,”

The best thing Cruz can do is immediately put distance between himself and Romney/Ryan/McConnell/McCain/McGramnesty & the GOPe nevertrumpers. And then climb down off his cross and help us save the country from Hillary.

Go, Cruz, GO!! Go, Trump, GO!!

Or perhaps the Bush family can ensure his future "success." They helped him in his early career and with both Jeb and him being NeverTrumpers, the sky is the limit in their own mindsets. In mine, however, he' and Jeb, are finished. Both have shown they do not live up to political promises to endorse. Both bring on a coughing-gagging reflex as far as being "trustworthy politiicans."

I still believe Cruz is smart but, if he does not do what you advised in your comment it just proves me wrong about Cruz....again.

As a once true supporter of Ted Cruz, I now think he is incredibly creepy. And all because of his own stupid, puerile actions. He is probably a Hillary/Soros/Sachs operative, anyhow. He would have been a “False Choice” (the Hegelian Dialectic) as McCain and Bush were...so sad—a plant coming right out of the heartland of Texas again.

Shame, shame on you, Mr. Cruz!!! The diabolical choices you are making will take you to hell. It is time you take back your soul and fight for true freedom and liberty and your daughters’ future (where our Natural Rights come ONLY from God)-—pre-1913, and put the bankster cartel in prison for treason and confiscating BILLIONS and getting millions killed in their wars, etc., and return their fraudulent billions to the proper governments.

Good point about the Hegelian Dialectic...Wish more of the general population was aware of this.

Cruz is a Globalist NWO in sheeps clothing. I use to respect him, not so much now.

Cruz was my first choice before Trump got into the race. I then saw Cruz as an excellent VP, getting groomed for the Presidency in 2024.

Now?

I wouldn’t pee on Cruz if he were on fire.

First time I heard Cruz speak, I immediately knew there was no he was ever going to make President. Squeak, squeak, for 4 to 8? No way in Hell.
