Donald Trump has asked why I did not speak at the Democratic convention. He said he would like to hear from me. Here is my answer to Donald Trump: Because without saying a thing, all the world, all America, felt my pain. I am a Gold Star mother. Whoever saw me felt me in their heart.
Donald Trump said I had nothing to say. I do. My son Humayun Khan, an Army captain, died 12 years ago in Iraq. He loved America, where we moved when he was 2 years old. He had volunteered to help his country, signing up for the ROTC at the University of Virginia. This was before the attack of Sept. 11, 2001. He didnt have to do this, but he wanted to.
SNIP
Donald Trump said that maybe I wasnt allowed to say anything. That is not true. My husband asked me if I wanted to speak, but I told him I could not. My religion teaches me that all human beings are equal in Gods eyes. Husband and wife are part of each other; you should love and respect each other so you can take care of the family.
When Donald Trump is talking about Islam, he is ignorant. If he studied the real Islam and Koran, all the ideas he gets from terrorists would change, because terrorism is a different religion.
Donald Trump said he has made a lot of sacrifices. He doesnt know what the word sacrifice means.

Hillary voted for that war, Trump didn't.
I missed all of the Khan event until this morning, but I think the MSM is over reaching just a bit with all the anguish. NBC gave him almost unlimited, very sympathetic time this morning.
If the lady’s son had been the only one killed over there, if she were alone in her sacrifice, she may have a right to monopolize grief.
But the use of her grief, the exploitation of her grief, to further Hillary Clinton’s candidacy, and to slash at Trump, occurred before Trump ever said a word. So all this heart purity rings a bit shallow.
I think he just did. He tweeted that their son was an American Hero. And then finished with Hillary voting for the war to begin with. Now he needs to leave it alone, but they’ll keep bringing it up. He’ll handle it like he always does, by saying he clarified that issue and answered the question. Good for him. Move on.
Why a written article? Why doesn’t she just go on CNN and tell her story? (It’s not like she won’t have any sympathetic hosts there!)
Could it be because her husband won’t ALLOW her to go out and speak publicly? As is common in Islam??
Let her speak in public. Islam needs to stop oppressing women, now. Time to move out of the 1400s and into the Space Age.
Pat Smith, mother of Benghazi attack victim Sean Smith, RNC speech:
My son Sean was one of four brave Americans killed during the 2012 terrorist attack at Benghazi.
Sean was a wonderful son and father to my two amazing grandchildren, Samantha and Nathan, now 10 and 11.
He was proud to serve his country with the United States Foreign Service. The last time I talked to Sean, the night before the terrorist attack, he told me, Mom, I am going to die.
All security had been pulled from the embassy, he explained. And when he asked why, he never received a response.
Nobody listened. Nobody seemed to care.
The very next day, he was murdered by radical Islamic terrorists.
To this day, I dont even know why a computer guy like Sean was sent to Benghazi.
That night, we lost sons, brothers, fathers, and husbands.
We lost four brave Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country they chose to serve.
And, the American people lost the truth.
For all of this loss, for all of this grief, for all of the cynicism the tragedy in Benghazi has wrought upon America, I blame Hillary Clinton.
I blame Hillary Clinton personally for the death of my son.
In an email to her daughter shortly after the attack, Hillary Clinton blamed it on terrorism.
But when I saw Hillary Clinton at Seans coffin ceremony, just days later, she looked me squarely in the eye and told me a video was responsible.
Since then, I have repeatedly asked Hillary Clinton to explain to me the real reason why my son is dead.
Im still waiting.
Whenever I called the State Department, no one would speak to me because they say I am not a member of the immediate family.
Sean is my son.
Hillary Clinton is a woman, a mother and a grandmother of two. I am a woman, a mother and a grandmother of two.
How could she do this to me? How could she do this to any American family? Donald Trump is everything Hillary Clinton is not.
He is blunt, direct, and strong.
He speaks his mind, and his heart.
And, when it comes to the threat posed by radical Islamic terrorism, he will not hesitate to kill the terrorists who threaten American lives.
He will make America stronger, not weaker. This entire campaign comes down to a single question.
If Hillary Clinton cant give us the truth why should we give her the presidency.
Trump needs to realize this isn’t the primary anymore. The entire media and entertainment community is now all out aligned against him. All of them.
He can’t go off the handle on this stuff anymore. There was ZERO to be gained by going out after Khan. Just say “I respect his son’s and the Khan family sacrifice” and let this die out. Then if Khan and the DEMS keep it up, they look like tacky opportunists.
Times like this I wish F.R. had an edit button.
So she can write. Proves nothing about speaking.
The individuals represent a concept, in this case, the concept that Moslems are no more likely to be a threat to the United States than Christians, Jews, Buddhists ... that "Islam has nothing to do with terrorism."
The Trump campaign is more likely to engage with the individuals than to specify and make an argument against the concept.
It is possible this will be effective. Only the election will show.
I wish he hadn’t made the comments he did make. He could have just said he appreciated the sacrifice of the soldier, but that didn’t change the facts of radical Islamic terrorism and the need to protect ourselves.
“.... because terrorism is a different religion.”
.
Yeah right. He must’ve been listening to GWB and his idiotic “Islam is a ROP” pronouncement. There is no difference between radical and peaceful Islam. The ISIS leader, Al-Baghdadi told us so, and he should know. THEY all use the same guidelines as printed in the Koran.
Agreed! The whole thing about this guy is just the media laying down a trap hoping Trump says something they can spin. What Trump tweeted today is perfect. Now he just needs to ignore this guy and he will go away!
Hillary isn’t going to get any votes out of this. We had these policies in place from 9/11 to the present, where we didn’t connect Islam to terrorism, but we had too many terrorist attacks since then. Remember there was also the Muslim soldier who threw a grenade at his fellow soldiers in a tent killing them a couple of years after 9/11?
Good.
Was her script approved by the Cindy Sheehan School of Dead Son Exploitation?
Trump has handled this masterly, by drawing out Mrs. Khan to say something, and knowing what she said would not resonate with the American voter.
She uses her letter to attack Trump by accusing him of not sacrificing anything in his life, all the while and hypercritically, refusing to sacrifice Islam.
I hope Ttump comes at her again and again.
Well, PR gold is made by the media. They’ve got gallons of fool’s gold to paint what they like with.
Donald doesn’t always ask the exact right questions first, but he’s getting better.
Now that Ghazala has (supposedly, if this is not ghost writing) spoken up, ask her and all “Muslims who hate jihadism” what should be done about the jihadism problem. Just letting people indiscriminately into the USA doesn’t seem to be working here, and it’s possible that a ban would shut out some people like Humyan. If the jihadism problem could be solved, then difficult situations like this could be averted.
