Hillary Clinton devoted part of her speech Thursday night to guns, telling the Democrat National Convention, “If we’re serious about keeping our country safe, we…can’t afford to have a president who's in the pocket of the gun lobby.”
“I’m not here to repeal the Second Amendment. I’m not here to take away your guns. I just don’t want you to be shot by someone who shouldn’t have a gun in the first place,” Clinton said.
She once again called for “common-sense reforms” to “keep guns out of the hands of criminals, terrorists and all other who would do us harm,” but she did not offer specifics. …

I believe her. She wouldnt but would certainly send someone else to do it. With the Clintons you must always analyze the words.
She'll leave the sencond amendment language in there, and then use it to justify stripping guns out of the public.
She won’t take our guns, she will try to get the FBI and the ATF do it for her.

She (and most Ds) don’t want to get rid of the 2nd amendment. They want to get rid of the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 9th, and 10th.
That’s more than 1/2 of the protections the founders gave us from government abuse.
The most discussing thing to me about their convention was the references to the founding fathers and Constitution. Complete lies trying to pander to one of the few groups they don’t usually pander to (those who love freedom and only feel oppressed by the government). I can’t remember the last time I heard a D talk about the founders except as evil slave holders or refer to the Constitution as anything other than an outdated document that keeps them from doing what they need to do.
“If you like your guns, you can keep your guns, period. If you like your 2nd amendment, you can keep you second amendment, period.” See how this works?

How about some common sense voter control?

Please elaborate. I’m serious. Which goons, what operational plan, and by whose authority will citizens hear the dreaded knock on the door?
Hillary is not an omnipotent sky goddess, she is a common scold in a pantsuit. Confiscation doesn’t happen in a vacuum unless it’s all-out civil war & chaos like Russia in 1918.
Talk of repealing the Second Amendment is just that, talk.
