PITTSBURGH - A heavy amount of police activity is continuing near the FBI building on the South Side after authorities said the driver of a dump truck intentionally crashed his vehicle through the front gate Tuesday morning.
FBI Supervisory Special Agent Greg Heeb said the large vehicle briefly went airborne after impact before it came to rest in an employee parking lot outside the building on East Carson Street.

"He was apparently driving erratically in the area. He ran a couple of red lights, possibly a stop sign," Heeb said. "Pittsburgh police attempted to initiate a traffic stop. He failed to stop immediately. They pulled him over eventually, close to our building. There was a brief exchange with the officer. He indicated to the officer that he was intending to ram the gate. He did just that -- put his truck back into gear, took off and went through the gate here at our headquarters."
Authorities are trying to determine what motivated the man to ram the gate.
"The vehicle is registered in Ohio. We don’t know too much about him at this point," Heeb said.
No injuries were reported, except for a minor injury to the driver.
If he was WHITE, we probably would have heard that already!
I know that building. It is very specifically designed to AVOID this type of attack. Fortified with thick walls...can’t imagine the driver survived.

Well I do know he intentionally rammed a fed building. Now where’s my honorary G-man badge?
No reasonable prosecutor would indict him.
I see the driver did survive. Still does not make sense. They’ve designed the drive up to the gate in such a way as to force you to slow way down. Can’t picture how he pulled this off.
How do they know it was intentional? What if he was just extremely negligent?
Bernie supporters might use this technique on the fence surrounding the DNC convention site.

Did you read the story? The truck driver made his intentions known to the police.
It’s all very strange & will be interesting to watch the details come out. If they ever do, that is.

I'll give you even odds that there is a Muhammed or an Amin or an Ali somewhere in his name.
Pittsburgh is said to be high on the target list of jihadis because we have a fairly large Jewish Community.
