Forget the non endorsement, that’s not the issue. Senator Cruz had a remarkable opportunity, he blew it. Cruz accepted an invitation to speak to the GOP convention then insulted the audience. Cruz couldn’t rise above his own brutal ego and petty selfishness. The arrogance simply went too far, he humiliated himself in front of millions.

Donald Trump has the innate ability to size a man up and discern his character and "the metal of the man". Mr. Trump succinctly characterized his analysis of the man Ted Cruz with a two-word title which will stick to and haunt Ted Cruz for the rest of his short lived political career and life:

Yep, that’s exactly what “Lyin Ted” did to himself on stage tonight in front of tens of millions of viewers.
As a conservative I found myself nodding with Cruz’s vision for the country but it all went downhill fast.
Instead of a paean to party unity, it turned into a lecture about Cruz’s own political needs.
Which reminds me of a famous incident involving Ronald Reagan and a microphone, where Reagan tartly replied, “Its mine, I paid for it.”
Cruz wasn’t paying his dues in the party vineyards.
Then he should join that *other* nithing, James Comey...

Inasmuch as the "Ted" in his name isn't short for Theodore, but for Edward (and yes, Ted is/has been used as a diminutive for Edward, as the late and unlamented Edward "Teddy" M. Kennedy will attest to), I don't really see that happening.
All that aside, the doubts I had been having over Cruz's Presidential campaign this year have proven, once and for all, well founded...
