He won't even be reelected in Texas.

Though this is exactly what I expected from Trump I guess it did serve the purpose to open the eyes of those who have blindly still support Cruz as bing a ah hem “Conservative.”
There was a chance to deliver the equivalent of Reagan’s 1976 address foor President Ford.
Cruz did not rise up to the occasion because he doesn’t have it in him. There is no greatness in the man. He came off as exactly what he is.....a petty egotist with delusions of grandeur.
It’s a great thing that the Founders wrote Article II as a barrier to such men.
Cruz took the rope we gave him and summarily hung himself.......
Old saying.......shame on me!
Hillary may have found her VP candidate.
I don’t know if this was Cruz’s way of letting people know that he’s done with politics, but I think he’s finished whether he wants to be or not. I was a Cruz supporter. He should have endorsed Trump. If Trump loses this election, I won’t be supporting Cruz in 2020. But actually, I don’t think Cruz will be running in 2020. He damaged himself beyond repair tonight.
I”m glad I didn’t log on to my computer last night. I’d still be here now.
With 500+ posts I’m sure this has been said but I need to go on the record here.
I was a Trump #1 Cruz #2 guy for a while. Then Cruz began to reveal his true colors and I lost a lot of respect for him. Last night was the last nail in the Cruz coffin in my book. I’ll admit. He had me actually liking him again during that speech and I was willing to let the past be the past and chalk up his behavior in the primaries to inexperience and zeal.
When he reached the crescendo of his speech last night I turned to Mrs. Crusader and said that if he doesn’t endorse Trump after this speech he’s done.
Well, he’s done.
Ted is getting killed on face book:
>Brad Decker Senator Cruz, I have been a huge supporter for many years, and have had the privilege of meeting you twice. You were so kind and obviously have a heart for this country. However, I am very disappointed in you, you said you would support the nominee when you signed the pledge, and you are no longer a man of your word. You let your ego get the best of you, and this is going to hurt your chances for 2020. You had the chance to help unite the GOP and endorse Trump, and cement your position for 2020, but instead you made a huge mistake. Very disappointed in you Senator, and I hope that you change your mind and help the GOP defeat Clinton!

I look for a movement to begin very soon to challenge him in the Texas Senate Republican Primary in 2018. Stick a fork in him. He’s done!
These nasty traitors have identified themselves and now opened a Pandora’s box where it is acceptable to not support the nominee. Will be fitting when it turns around on them.
There is life after elected office. If he doesn’t want to endorse Trump, that’s his privilege. I used to support him, but Trump has won me over, and Cruz lost me under.
Bing
You're wrong on both counts. Cruz was not booed off stage. In fact, this was staged by die hard Trump supporters. They were lying in wait.
Secondly, Cruz will be re-elected in Texas by a very large margin.
It all comes down to principle. If your wife, dad, child and person was attacked on such a personal level...most would likely follow the same course as did Ted.
Might I add, the Trump campaign could have released before the convention and or during an apology that would have helped mend fences, perhaps he's have gained more endorcements.

Carson the child molester
All these comments were designed for one reason...besmirch the other candidates on a personal level.
I will cast my vote for Trump, but I still think he will say anything to win, true or not. I still think he’z an arrogant @$$. The lesser of two evils...so it goes. Voting for Trump to keep Hillary out.
At this point he will either go down in flames or in a year or so be regarded as quite prescient (assuming Trump is elected which I think he has a good chance). If Trump isn’t elected, as far as this speech of Cruz is concerned it won’t help him at all.
I will certainly vote my conscience and my conscience will be clear when voting for Trump in November. He wasn’t my first choice but now he is the only choice, the only reasonable choice, a more stark contrast between the R and D candidates has not been seen in the general election in more than 20 years. This is a much more significant difference than in previous cycles when the GOPe told us there was “no choice”.
So my conscience is clear, as it always has been when I vote. Let history now be Ted Cruz’s judge. He certainly has put all of his eggs in one basket.
WE THE PEOPLE DID VOTE OUR CONSCIENCE AND THAT IS WHY YOU ARE NOT THE NOMINEE AND NEVER WILL BE AFTER LAST NITE.
