Donald Trump Planning To Just Let Mike Pence Run The Country, Apparently
Huffington Post ^ | July 20, 2016 | Jason Linkins

Trump plans to saddle his veep with most of the duties of being president. Because why not?

Anyone looking to tune in to the Republican National Convention this week to hear from the man the GOP is seeking to send to Washington to run the country needs to adjust their DVRs, because that speech won't be given by Republican presidential nominee and apocalyptic circus peanut Donald Trump on Thursday. Rather, it will be given by the party's vice-presidential nominee, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, on Wednesday night.

So what gives? Well, it's not entirely surprising. See, Trump has, throughout his campaign, made it clear that he believes that being president is a really easy job - no sweat for him! But if you want to get a sense of just how easy Trump imagines the office to be, you should check out the Robert Draper’s account of how Trump came to select Pence as his running mate in The New York Times Magazine. It begins with Trump's eldest son making a back-channel overture to Ohio governor John Kasich, offering him the chance to be Trump's running mate:

Anybody who is able to run a multi-billion dollar business empire as successfully as Trump will inevitably be a master of delegation.

As a businessman value ios everything to Mr Trump. He will not be satisfied with someone happy to sit quietly as VP picking up a pay check without putting in the effort.

Trump will recognise the talent’s of Pence and give him real role with proper responsibility. It shows just how lacking Libs are in understanding the Business mindset that they do not recognise this.

“How much is Arianna Huffington being paid by Soros? Doesn’t she have enough money already?”

I just wish that George Carlin was still around to update his “list of people who need to be killed!”

Do you mean to tell me that Trump isn’t going be hands on like Jimmy Carter, who personally managed the White House tennis court reservations?

The lefties trot out the same tired stories and criticisms about every single Republican presidential candidate.

They started that crap with Kasich. Trump sent out a tweet saying he never asked Kasich to be VP.

What? He must have been toking on that 51 foot joint I was reading about in another posting, and thought that was funny.

POTUS should NEVER micro-manage anything. His job is to set direction, and let the 1000 sub-ordinates working for him as white house staff execute the direction proscribed.

Carter was a micro-manager. Reagan was not.

In the “Run government like a buisness” model there is a chairman of the board, a CEO and a COO.

Currently Michelle is Chair; Barack CEO; Valerie COO?

It is unusual for VP to be any of these 3. But why not?
