Speaker of the House Paul Ryan said Friday that he can think of no better choice for Donald Trumps running mate than Indiana Gov. Mike Pence.
Mike Pence comes from the heart of the conservative movement and the heart of America. I can think of no better choice for our vice-presidential candidate. We need someone who is steady and secure in his principles, someone who can cut through the noise and make a compelling case for conservatism, Ryan said in a statement.
Mike Pence is that man. Mike and I have been friends for many years, and he has put his principles into practice by passing the largest state tax cut in the history of Indiana and expanding school choice for Hoosier families. He will help bring real change to Washington, and so I will do everything I can between now and November to help our ticket and our party win a national majority.
Ryan is more likely to find agreement on trade with Pence than Trump.
In a 2015 letter to Indiana congressmen, Pence wrote, Reducing tariffs and other trade barriers so that Indiana businesses can enjoy increased market access and fairly compete on the world stage is something that Congress must do. I encourage your support for Trade Promotion Authority, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership and any other trade-related measures when they are brought before the Congress for consideration.

We had all better hope and pray for the continued good health of Donald Trump.
Indeed.
Am I supposed to be impressed by PUKE RINO’S approval?
Nope.
He also brings knowledge as to who to get things through legislation. Him along with Newt will prove to be invaluable.
He also gives people who might not have voted for Trump a reason to do so now, much like Palin with McCain.
Ryan likes it. Jeb likes it. The Club for Growth likes it.
I’m starting to think Pence is Trump’s GHWB.
Paul Ryan singing in the Shower, some day my Prince will come. LOL
