Any opinions when he will start naming cabinet positions?
Go Trump/Pence!
I thought it wasn’t Pence.
I am so glad. Pence was always my first choice. I just posted on another thread...Pence is so dignified. And Trump needs all the help he can get in the dignified category. Just sayin’.
Not a horrible choice, a safe choice I guess. I would have been happier with Gingrich or Christie. I saw Pence with Trump the other day and was not impressed. Maybe he’ll step up his game. Now time to get them both elected!!!
WOOHOO!!! We have our Presidential Team....Lets all go to Make America Great Again!!!
Trump/Pence ALL THE WAY TO THE OVAL OFFICE!!!
FWIW, Pence has not withdrawn from his Governors race. He has until noon today to do so.

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence would bring constitutional fidelity, conservative credentials, traditional faith, foreign policy, Washington know-how, and a calm, steady, Midwestern demeanor to a national ticket with Donald Trump, boosting the New York businessman with several types of voters that may prove to be the key to building an electoral coalition that could propel Trump into the White House.
Pence began as an outsider who served 12 years in Congress and rose to leadership.
Pence was an Indiana talk show host who took on the party establishment to get into Congress. Once there, he was regularly a thorn in the establishments side, routinely opposing the go-along-to-get-along establishment playbook. But he did so as a happy warrior who kept disagreement focused on policies, while being friendly and personable with his opponents.
Over time, Pence became very popular among conservatives, and effective at communicating a conservative message through the national media. He was elected the chairman of the Republic Study Committee (RSC), the organization for stalwart conservatives in the U.S. House so that they could coordinate their efforts to maximize conservative outcomes. (Over time it became cool to join the RSC, and with the influx of moderates it became both larger and less conservative. That led to the creation of the House Freedom Caucus in 2015, filling the same role originally performed by the RSC.)
Pence repeatedly opposed George W. Bushs proposals to expand government. When Republicans lost the U.S. House in 2006, Pence took the ultimate anti-establishment step of running against John Boehner to be the leader of House Republicans.

Excellent ticket.
Go Trump/Pence
Meh.
Pence folded like a cheap suit when the LGBT jihadis and the appropriately named USAG “Lynch” screamed at him.
..Newt is still going to be around in some capacity...
Good, glad that it’s finally been decided. Now lets have an incredible convention and go out and win this election in November!
The time for discussing whether or not Pence is the best choice is over.
Trump-Pence 2016!
Disappointed it’s not Newt, but I suppose Newt can still do a lot of good in another position.
Newt as VP may have been too high profile front and center on issues of national importance. His remarks yesterday were presidential and spot on. But he and Donald would have to coordinate their messaging, and that may have been tough.
Pence is lower profile than Newt and has moderate as well as conservative support, and he will bring in Indiana. That may have been why he was chosen. He’s also a presence the establishment can’t really criticize.
I had a feeling he’d go ahead and announce. He’s not one to let ISIS dictate when or what he does so that’s a good start.
I don’t know anything about Pence but read his voting record on a thread yesterday. He seemed quiet and mamsy pamsy at the carnival interview a couple days ago but I like his voting record. I’m in!
TRUMPENCE!
Elect TrumPence?
That works.
