I’m betting that Newt and Trump talked about different positions. Trump probably asked Newt what he would like. I’m betting Newt said VP was 2nd and he didn’t want to play the media games but nailing Congress...

How about TRUMPence ?
That's great too.
On reflection, though, since voters cannot split the vote at the top of the ticket, how about...
VOTE TRUMP!
To: Westbrook
He ain’t the top of the ticket.
The Pence choice is a bone to the cruzbots

I like the choice, because Pence will not upstage Trump. I think that was a risk with someone like Newt or Christie. They like to run their mouths, and with Trump, it would have been too much.

Pence had a window of 2 hours left this morning to file to re-run as Governor of Indiana. He hadn’t done it by 9AM. That should have been your first clue it was officially Pence.

I understand that. What about both??? That would be a winning combination, wouldn’t it?

FWIW, Pence has not withdrawn from his Governors race. He has until noon today to do so. A lawyer representing Pence field the withdrawal paperwork a few minutes ago. There were several other lawyers at the Statehouse waiting Pence to withdraw so they could likewise withdraw from their races to run for governor and other roster shuffling on down the ticket..

"...the traditionally "presidential" image The nose in the air, cleaner than thou, well manicured fingers, with nary a hint of lint on the lapels?
Screw that, time for a rolled up sleeves, working hands clenched into fists, ready to fight president.

It will the the toughest job we’ll ever love (a take on the old Peace Corps recruitment commercials).

Indeed, DHS does need to be excised. And Rudy for our first effective UN Ambassador with the task to clean up the viper den or notify them that they are being evicted.

Rudy HSec, The Sheriff to replace Comey at FBI. Excellent idea! Trying to think of a good candidate for Secretary of State. The State Department needs to be totally cleaned out!!!

That's Trump. He doesn't need another like him on the ticket.
