Good evening, radu...I am so behind. I keep falling asleep.

Homework wasn’t too bad last night, but I had another Mom problem. She decided to walk into the bathroom, but her body and knees gave out. She called and I had to get her down onto the office chair we keep in there. Then help her scooch back in the seat so she didn’t slide off and onto the floor.

After a rest she could not stand up to move to the wheelchair, so I had to pull the chair (on wheels) onto the carpet and back to her bed. That was a back breaker and a knee killer and left me trapped at the head of the bed. I can’t crawl at all as the knees refuse, so I had to maneuver as best I could over the bed, help her stand, turn, and sit on the bed.

Quite the ordeal. Within an hour I could barely walk. *sigh* Went to bed trying to find a comfortable position. About 4a she called....I got in there. She’s asleep. Back to bed but for sure there’s a floater behind the knee cap or in the joint. Walking is h*ll.

Made her get up and use the commode before I left for work so I would know she could manage. Then she said it might be a good idea if she just stayed in bed and rested. DUH! d:o)

Made it to the chiropractor this afternoon and living with my ice pack now.

Tonight she is doing better and I’ve let down and relaxed...and keep falling asleep. LOL!

Did you get some rain? I’m right now watering the last patch of back lawn...mid 70s again today and maybe 80 next week. YIKES!

Losing independence is the hardest thing about getting old. It lies ahead for all of us.

It sounds like she understands that and it helps her keep a good attitude. No point in letting it turn one sour on life.

They haven’t been doing PT in all this time??? I would have thought they’d have done it ASAP after her bones healed enough.

Good googly moogly! That was NOT a good night at all!
You need one of those alarm pads they use in nursing homes so you’ll know when she sneaks out of bed on her own. You aren’t in any shape to pick her up when she pushes herself to far and collapses like that. We don’t want you crippling yourself completely. Your knees already give you enough trouble. :-(

No wonder you’re exhausted tonight.

No rain here the past few days so I had to water the potted flowers a while ago. I’ll check the others to see if they need it too. The ground might have held enough moisture to hold off another day. MIGHT get some rain later today.

They did until she had some blood clots form in her leg. Then they were afraid to. She’s still on the blood thinners and I think it’s been too long. But I’m not the doctor.

I hope they’ll release her before too long so she can resume the PT.

Gotta get some sleep. See ya tomorrow? Nite! :)

Aaaaaah, I forgot about the clots. That’s been a while back and my memory stinks.
Still on blood thinners, huh? I guess they have their reasons but it does seem like a long time.

Good night and sleep well. I gather you have the day off since you were up so late so enjoy the freedom. :-)

Lawn is done except for one small section.

Another nap taken, shower taken, and now I'm going to bed before I spend the night sleeping at the computer.

BUT....when I took my Mom her pills and telling her another day of rest for her body and knees would be good AND when I get home tomorrow night I'd help her get into her wheelchair, she said...."you know, this arrangement is really good and works really well". *sigh*

THIS IS THE SAME ARRANGEMENT THAT CAUSED ME TO THROW UP MY HANDS AND TELL HER TO DO WHATEVER SHE WANTED. I WOULDN"T OPPOSE ANYTHING!! I almost bit my tongue off, but said nary a word. d:o)

Man I really screwed up my post. My brother was 503rd infantry 173 Airborne in Viet Nam. I was 503rd Engineers in Germany.

Mostly solo, but sometimes my B-I-L sits in on lead guitar and my sis on Cojon (don’t ASK me what the plural of “Cajon” is LOL!)

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_sc_2_5?url=search-alias%3Dmi&field-keywords=cajon&sprefix=undefined%2Caps%2C386&rh=n%3A11091801%2Ck%3Acajon

There are many cojones on this page...OK, it’s a type of drum! LOL!)

Much of the sing-a-longs occur during Pink Floyd Songs. I have no nidea why, but it happens at PF concerts too.
