We had a little Spring but not as long as usual. Crops were planted late because the ground was too cold. Flowers bloomed later than usual too.
But when it did finally warm up, it was HOT. And dry.

Not been a fun year so far.

Hasn’t here for the past 1 1/2 months. Oh, well...it’s the same every year. I don’t know why I continue to be surprised or fuss about it. LOL!

It is what it is. And in a couple of months...hopefully...it’s cooler!

You do NOT want that! I don’t like it when it’s humid. Usually, we cool down really well at night, but not lately. But..if ya get rain, ya get the ol’ humidity! LOL!

Good evening, Ms Feather...*hugs*...it is SO hot here. I’m having to water the lawns. Last night the front, today the back.

Hope your rain is coming.

We sure don’t want that! We like greenery around us too much. LOTS of it. The desert has its beauty but I could never live there, even to escape humidity.
But it does make it hard to walk out the door when it feels like a sauna outside. I did NOT want to go anywhere today but it had to be done. I need to water the potted flower tonight and keep putting it off. Still steamy out there.

Well, I’m not crazy about it. Rather live in the hill country, but hubby won’t budge. Hard to want to when the house is paid for. Plus...now his mom is here in town. She’s doing great, BTW. :)

Very hard to want to move when the house is paid for. Who wants to be burdened with another mortgage? Ick!

Glad your MIL is doing so well. Is she getting around better these days?

Not really...she’s still in her wheel chair. I think it’s permanent...bless her heart. :(

Did you get your lawn watered or are you still moving the sprinkler around?

I just went out and watered the flowers on the deck. Going to check the beds shortly to see if those flowers need a dose too. As hot as it’s been, they’re probably ready for a drink. *sigh*

Well darn. I’d hoped she’d healed up and bounced back enough to get out of that chair.
I guess the bright side is she won’t fall and break anything again. In the long run, she’s safer.

True, she’s safer, but she’s so used to being independent.

She does have a very positive attitude, though, and doesn’t let it get her down. At least around us, she doesn’t. I keep hoping she’ll get to do some PT before long and try to build up her legs before she loses the use of them completely. Right now, she can stand up for short periods, just can’t move. Her knees won’t lock. Arthritis on top of the broken bones she had. Bless her heart!
