Theresa May entered No. 10 Downing St. on Wednesday as Britain’s new prime minister, following a bittersweet exit by David Cameron that was tinged with humor and regret.

“I was the future once,” Cameron quipped as he left office. But that future now belongs to May, and it involves instability, uncertainty and tough wrangling over Britain’s departure from the European Union. […]

May promised to fight for social justice in a speech that addressed “hard-working families” who have struggled during the years of instability since the 2008 financial crisis. Many of those people, fed up with remote politicians and bureaucrats, voted to leave the EU. …

Memory
All alone in the moonlight
I can smile at the old days
I was beautiful then
I remember
A time I knew what happiness was
Let the memory live again

Cameron was not forced out, he freely chose to leave. Interesting.

May is apparently a proponent of Sharia. That will not work out well.

Lucky Britons! They get to trade in their old, malfunctioning Leader for a newer model. We have to wait a few more long months. I’m sure Obama has already put certain policies in place meant to hobble, baffle or punish those who ever questioned the level of his perfection and righteousness. These booby traps may be seen through HUD, EPA and O-Care and of course the unending shower of illegal immigrants, many brimming with untreated diseases.

When a British PM loses a vote in Parliament on an important question it’s expected they’ll resign and let somebody else in their party give it a try. Cameron is just applying this same custom to losing a national referendum. Brexit was a direct no confidence vote, much of it by grass roots Conservatives outside the London area and Southeast, and Cameron was right to understand he couldn’t lead.

To think he went from being exuberant about the possibility of “export(ing)” homosexual marriage “around the world” (after saying he was “personally proud of” ramming it down Britons’ throats three years ago) to this. What a career.

I just heard today that the said “new model” was NOT in favor of Brexit, and there are fears that she might drag her feet in getting the process delayed. EU wants the British case to bail them out of some bad debts.

May is apparently a proponent of Sharia. That will not work out well.

No, she isn't. The stories that say she is stem from a hit piece that was deliberately written to try and discredit her, largely because the author doesn't like her conservative credentials.

It was spin - it managed to turn the fact that May instituted an inquiry into Sharia 'Courts' in the UK that was intended to make sure that they were not operating in a way contrary to British law into an idea that she supports Sharia. Exactly the opposite in fact - the intention of the inquiry was to ensure that any such bodies were acting in a way consistent with British law. If they were, fine (and that is entirely possible, if their rulings stick to certain areas of civil law), but if they weren't, they'd be shut down. She made a statement explaining that there were some principles in Sharia that match normal common sense, and that quote has been taken out of context.

She is not a proponent of Sharia. The most important part of the statement she made was that Britain only has one set of laws - "So there is one rule of law in the UK" were the exact words.
