As I understand it, Trump’s plane had problems. Hannity may have just said, “Hey, let me get that.”
I like Newt. He is the consummate philosopher-king. He can debate rings around anyone... he has read their book and will compliment them and quote from their book to prove his own case...
As others have noted he knows where all the bodies are buried, and until he got himself in trouble he cheerfully fought Clinton to a pulp more than once and in the end Clinton has been reduced to having to take credit for years for what Newt did.
Trump needs him in his inner circle; if not VP, then chief of staff. I like him for VP because he fights. If Trump picks someone else, then let it be someone who isn’t afraid to fight.
Although he is desperately needed in the Senate and isn’t quite as outspoken as Newt, I think Sessions would be the best pick. He’s aligned with Trump on all the issues, has terrific experience, and few negatives.

Newt is not VP material. He is too old, he has liberal leanings on race issues and is too quick to sell out. Best that he be a Chief of Staff or adviser. But not VP.

Newt goes to Washington by way of his friends ride on a hot July morning in order to meet with the future President of the United States, for his final job interview. The pilot and everyone involved, if they are patriots would have been willing to work for free just by saying, Mr. Speaker, you have a plane to catch. This is on us. You’ve earned it for being THE most consistent person to go after the liberals and their anti-American agenda for the past 3 decades.

One thing about it, if Newt does get the VP pick, it would be a hoot to see whoever hillary picks for her VP to debate Newt....I would definitely DVR that one and keep it.

In the past, if it’s Newt, both Trump and Newt would have to go into the debates knowing there was nothing they could do about the lying liberal media placed as moderators.
While the lying liberal media will still collude with H Clinton and the VP, they will have to be much more creative in stacking the audience, getting algorithms to vote bot vote in the online polls about who won the debate, they will have to be much more creative in their attempt to be very aggressive against Trump. Because Trump is onto their lying ways and needs to negotiate better parameters for the debate.
