President Obama said Saturday that he is "concerned" by the FBI assessment that the State Department has acted carelessly in handling classified information.
"I am concerned," he told reporters at a news conference in Warsaw Saturday, according to Reuters .
But he cast the problem as a government-wide struggle to keep up technology and the fast-paced flow of information.
"The advent of email and texts and smart phones is just generating enormous amounts of data," Obama said, which is "putting enormous pressure on the department to sort through it, classify it properly."
In concluding the FBI's investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server, Director James Comey found that "the security culture of the State Department in general, and with respect to use of unclassified systems in particular, was generally lacking in the kind of care for classified information that's found elsewhere in the U.S. government."
Obama said State's issue processing classified information "reflects a larger problem in government."
The State Department has refuted Comey's characterization; spokesman John Kirby said the department takes classification " very, very seriously."

He should have talked to his endorsee Hillary then when he campaigned with her last week. She knows all about it.

Kind of late getting to the game, doncha think. The time to be getting worried is when the first “official” email communication came in from Herself just as the use of the private server was getting underway.
National security doesn’t mean much of anything, when destroying the national integrity is the primary goal.
What he’s concerned about is that he didn’t make 1/1000th of the money the Clintons did selling off US assets and security secrets that HRC did.
