Um, I’ve yet to reach #100 in my reading and you’ve already insulted two of my fav FReepers. I’m pointing this out so you shoot for 3 by insulting me about something, too.
May as well shoot for a perfect little trifecta weekend, eh?

What side you are on in issues like gay marriage and abortion IS NOT TOP PRIORITY RIGHT NOW. The mess in this country is due to lack of morality at every level, on every issue. Tell me again how moral issues aren't top priority right now?

I would agree that’s a big plus! Thank you for letting me know that.

We ARE their allies on some issues whether we want to be or not. Just like fighting in foxholes with people different from yourself.

We’ve been played, and I don’t want to be a good little serf and fight over lib-conservative issues while the oligarchy tightens our chains.

Um, I see you decided not to um, actually address the um point. Which um, was, um that the um, "Democrat" Party in 1860 was not um, a single, um, unified, um Party.
What's next in the bogus world of your "history?" Claiming Jefferson was a Christian?
To: Yaelle
I dont want to be a good little serf and fight over lib-conservative issues while the oligarchy tightens our chains. I trust you are preparing for the inevitable as I am then.

Ike was a nice man and a great general. He was a symbol of stability at a time when the country needed to catch its breath and get on with the business of raising families and expanding the peacetime economy.
He didn't really understand politics. In 1952, it wasn't altogether clear whether he wanted to run as a Republican or a Democrat. He eventually chose the former.
Basically his staff and cabinet ran the country. In press conferences he was downright incoherent. But it was OK, since the White House press corps were happy to cut him slack. Times were different.

Get in a foxhole with dogs, wake up with fleas. No thanks. You sleep with the homos, I won’t.
To: conservative98
I’m not voting for a democrat

Eisenhower was the biggest reason that Joe McCarthy didn't get any support from his own party. People trying to make the point that an amicable golfer was a great conservative are idiots.
We should've nominated Robert Taft. By nominating a very questionable Republican, we got nowhere for eight years. No reason to repeat those kinds of mistakes.
To: Nita Nupress
Um, Why would I insult you? You've expressed no opinion whatsoever except that you think you're somebody whose ideas matter to me.
They don't.
To: LS
Another mistake. Our nominee should have been Taft. Thanks for making my point. Again.

Um, Ulysses Grant was a Democrat until the middle of the Civil War. Ike likely was too after all he came to power under FDR.

Not that I think the VP has anything to say about abortion.
But being pro-abortion is proof of a wicked, dishonest, violent, corrupt character.
To: conservative98; lonevoice
Trump should take a good look at Allen West for his VP.
To: WHBates
Reagan was really a Republican before 1960—but Dick Nixon urged him to remain registered as a Democrat in 1960, so he could speak for “Democrats for Nixon.”
1960 is twenty years before 1980.
