LIVE:BREAKING: Police Protest Phoenix, Arizona
Water cannon time?
abc seems to be done with live coverage for the night
scanner: police setting up to disperse and push the crowd south
Hopefully for firehouses. Don’t tell me they are going to give the protestors water.
For the benefit of those who missed it;
Fox news (right before signing off live coverage) said the guy had been throwing rocks. Helicopter lit the guy up with a spotlight, then bicycle cops closed in, the guy ran, went right by a dismounted motorcycle officer who tripped the guy, followed by bicycle officer crashing onto the guy.
Other officers joined in making a small dog-pile while the motorcycle officer who tripped the suspect stood around casual-like.
I guess.
Just heard that PD is getting ready to start pushing people south to disperse them.
Which is probably what ended the riot.
I was a kid in New Jersey in the 60s when the riots destroyed Newark. They had to call in the National Guard there, too.
But do you think we could do that NOW? Obama and Lynch would just as soon turn the authorities on innocent citizens as on the rioters.
Urban Sprawl, very fast there over the past decade.
Why we got out before starting a family.
Housing market was insane. Ref’ing SE Phoenix, was there earlier this year, completely different place.
A live chopper view on NBC 12 shows a small crowd of protesters starting to block the street near the police line.
I would say the pepper balls pretty much shut down the plan to take over the I-10. But have to wonder why the PD is now shutting it down. Can’t argue with them. They seem to have this one in hand.
FYI: traffic cams: http://www.az511.gov/traffic/cameras/
police line moving now down the street
On NBC 12 the police line is now moving toward those trying to block the street.
Truckers gonna be pissed if they do shut it down.
Liberalism is a mental disorder.
tear gas deployed 7th st & McKinley
skirmish line moving in
I pray for the good people of Phoenix.
Yep, I’m so sleepy I wasn’t sure I heard it correctly.
QED
The live feed shows a section of the Interstate blocked off.
In the old days rioters were able to get outdoors and share the experience without having to look down at their cell phones constantly.
The backup on the highway looks like it goes for miles
