I think we’re the ones who have to start listening to the legitimate cries that are coming from our African-American fellow citizens,”

It's no more time to start listening to the violence perpetrators, rioters, murderers, and the riot-inciters than it was time to listen to jihadists on 9/12/2001. Leftists consider normal white people to be the "other", a people in need of profound political and economic transformation using the power of government. Normal white people invented and built America, but our Leftist friends find respect for that tradition to be unconscionable and illegitimate, or "racist", if you will. The fact that people might not have the actual fact of something doesn't diminish their feelings on said subject. The majority of people refer to the battle flag as The Stars an Bars. It might not be technically accurate but in the scheme of things not anything to get upset about. If I had to hazard a guess one could inform them of it and they could care less!!
