Please keep generalizations away. This is feeding into the problem. I have or thought I had a close black friend, but I feel the division between us creeping in more and more during these instances. One day I said that ‘someones race doesn't make a difference to me” She replied, " “You can say that because of ‘white privilege’. That hurt terribly. I've never cared about race and I couldn't believe that someone said that to me. But, I feel these situations are creating a terrible snowball effect of vengeance and hate. I don't even know what to say anymore about the negativity.

I too have an A-A friend from childhood, someone I used to share everything with. Met him in sixth grade, now were both in our sixties.

He and I started to grow apart ten or twelve years ago. I think it happened around the time of Katrina, but it may have started earlier.

Now, all he talks about is race.

Guy's educated. Been a teacher his entire career. Makes good money.

How can they believe that? Affirmative Action has become extreme! Whole bureaucracies are filled with minorities while more educated and experienced Whites are passed over.

Blacks murder Whites at a rate nine times higher than the reverse. Privilege indeed!

Your right, let’s all pretend this problem doesn’t exist and maybe it will just go away if we pretend enough. Blacks are generally more violent than whites that is a fact you can look up by a rate of about 50% and has nothing to do with economics.

Obama and company are fanning this fire.
