Busy, busy day....1/2 frazzled. Steady issues all morning, but checks printed pretty much on time. Ongoing issues needing IT help ongoing now. A couple IT guys have been here for more than an hour....Cora continues to get an error message and the IT guys are on the phone with someone on the east coast. I’m leaving in 15 minutes...I’ve had enough of this day.

Sounds like y’all got what we got . . . a little here, a little there. We’ve gotten a tenth of an inch out of our showers today. More chances for rain and maybe a storm later tonight. We’ll see.

Important Reminders
July 7, 2016
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.
Deuteronomy 6:6
Anthropologist Anthony Graesch says that the outside of a refrigerator reveals whats important to people. During a research study of families in Los Angeles, Graesch and his colleagues noted an average of 52 items posted on the fridgeincluding school schedules, family photos, childrens drawings, and magnets. Graesch calls the refrigerator a repository of family memory.
The Lord may use a tangible item like a photo, keepsake, or Scripture verse to remind us of His faithfulness and the call to obey His Word. When Moses addressed the Israelites just before they entered the land of Canaan, he urged them to keep all the commands God had given them. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road . . . . Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates (Deut. 6:7, 9).
Giving Gods Word a visible place of honor in their homes and lives was a powerful daily reminder to be careful that you do not forget the Lord, who brought you . . . out of the land of slavery (v. 12).
Today the Lord encourages us to remember that as we obey His Word, we can depend on His faithful care for all that lies ahead.
Father, we are grateful for every reminder of Your faithfulness and loving care. May we honor You by obeying Your Word.
How do you nurture your relationship with the Lord? Share with us at Facebook.com/ourdailybread
Daily blessings are reminders of God's faithfulness.
Todays reading contains the centerpiece of Israels doctrinal beliefs. It is called the Shema, based upon the Hebrew word for hear: Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength (Deut. 6:45).

If we were all normal, just think how boring the world would be. LOL!
Yes, TN is a red state. And you’re correct about the election season heating up. Not just the presidential one but there are some contested races here as well. Looks like we have a demoncRat “plant” running against my Congressman and a lot of us are hot under the collar about it.
Going to be an interesting few months.

The equipment was driven on. We did not have anything big enough to lift most of the stuff. I was not part of the loading of Equipment and I don't think the dozer I was assigned to was taken up there. We got on the train and took off. We had been stopped a while and someone yelled “There is no engine up front” so we set for a while. Some guys started off to get something to eat and came running back and said that an engine hooked up and we would be moving.

I remember the "rail heads" to Graf also.
My Artillery Battalion would drive our tracked vehicles onto the rail cars, we'd tie them down and then head to the passenger cars to sleep or kick back until we arrived at Graf.
And then off to the dusty or frozen tank trails.
So much fun :-) This was in the mid to late '70's.

I always feel so much sympathy for the littler kids. They sometimes really don’t know fully why mommy or daddy aren’t at home with them.

True. When they’re that young, they only know their parent isn’t there every day and that’s all they really know or understand.
