BELEAGUERED Angela Merkel is facing calls for a referendum to free German people of "EU slavery" in the wake of Britain's sensational decision to cut ties with Brussels.
Far right figures in Alternative for Germany have promised to call their own vote if they clutch power in country's general election in autumn next year.
A party spokesman branded Brussels a "bureaucracy monster", before adding: "Next year the AfD will enter the German parliament and Dexit will be top on our agenda".
They called the vote a Dexit as it stands for a Deutschland exit from the EU.
Eurosceptism has swept across the continent after the people of Britain backed Brexit in the historic EU referendum on June 23.

The elites will put a kibosh on this. Germany never, ever gives its people a choice on matters with respect to their precious EU.
And frankly, this is what they wanted, because other countries won’t really “leave” but be relegated to the lower tiers of the “multi-speed Europe” they now intend to impose, with themselves at the apex. They will probably come out with a gold-backed currency to counter the deliberately-failed euro, too.
This episode only starts to be serious after the fall 2017 national election. Polling is difficult to figure, but it’s likely that the AfD Part will take somewhere in the range of 18-to-24 percent of the vote...probably not enough to win, but enough to cause a serious problem for the winner who needs to build a coalition vote.
Both center-left and center-right (SPD and CDU/CSU) in Germany had a serious grip on politics since 1949....with the two combining to take 65-to-85 percent for the past fifty years. The likely outcome for the two center parties will be 45-to-50 percent....meaning there are four, maybe even five other parties in the mix.
I’ll also point out the news today in Austria....the Constitutional Court said that the May Presidential election was screwed up, and must be redone. The FPO Party (right-wing) lost by one percent in that election. The odds after BREXIT? They will pick up one or two percent of the vote, and likely win.
2017 will be an interesting year.

While I hope every domino falls, will we have to hear about every version of the __exit? Brexit, Frexit, Dexit, Grexit, Itexit, etc.
Germany out of the EU means essentially, there is no longer a viable European Union. With good old Tante Angela and Onkel Joachim no longer there to pay the bills, there is no continuing reason for most of the rest of the nations of Europe to maintain the facade.
WEll, by the time they could get a referendum vote - it will be too late - the muzzies will be running Germany -
it took 8 years to get Brexit implemented.
But there are some Freepers who find this stuff quite interesting.
In every country in Europe there are only two interest groups that matter—the elites and the rest of the people.
The elites control the establishment politicians and the major media—and therefore the propaganda. Whether the average folks can see through the smoke screen remains to be seen.
But if average folks can figure it out the European “union” nightmare will be sent to the dustbin of history.
If Germans are smart they’ll get the hell out of the EU hellhole...

Germany pays a lot into the EU....looks like the people just took a look at what they get for their money...pretended benefits.
The EU is supposed to be similar to The United States. And we know where “States Rights” stand....We do what the Fed say or they pull the old “no money for you”.
Those American Leftists who think a centralized bureaucracy, either here or overseas, is a good thing; simply do not understand the issue--or, as may be more truly the case, do not identify with the desires of would be free peoples to manage their own affairs.
I find the topic interesting. I was half-seriously talking about the endless word blending for each country’s exit (e.g., Brexit, Dexit).
