US Attorney General Loretta Lynch has recused herself from deciding whether Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will be charged in the classified email investigation, following outrage over the AG's private Monday meeting with Bill Clinton, the justice department announced Friday morning.
The announcement comes in the wake of accusations that the Obama appointee has a conflict of interest in the case, after she met with the former president on her government plane while on the tarmac of Phoenix, Arizona's Sky Harbor Airport on Monday.
Lynch will discuss the decision during an interview on Friday morning at the Aspen Ideas Festival, an anonymous DOJ official said.
Normally, the AG and other DOJ officials would have the final say in bringing charges in an investigation, but Monday’s 30 minute meeting is thought to have led to the change in protocol.
Although Lynch stressed the two did not discuss official business, she was accused of impropriety and and urged to recuse herself.

This reminds me of the nothing lawyer just out of law school hired by the mob to defend the mob boss.
The prosecution had all the evidence needed to convict-—and as he made his summation to the jury, the prosecution said this man is guilty of every crime in the book...but his biggest crime is taking the fifth, refusing to defend himself.
The nothing layer sprang to his feet and called for a mistrial which was granted....b/c one cannot impugn a motive to a defendant taking the fifth in a court of law.
The mob congratulated the nothing lawyer for being so brilliant.
It was only later the nothing lawyer found out....the mob had paid the prosecution to say what he did.

She didn’t recuse herself. She simply said that she’ll accept the report from the FBI. She’s still going to be the one who decides whether or not to indict. I don’t see how her announcement really changes anything.
Perhaps the start of the 2016 version of the Saturday Night Massacre?

The fact that she had this risky meeting with Bubba suggests the FBI investigation is a real problem for the Hildabeast. I think the Clintons believe that they can handle the email portion of it since a lot of this is already known by the public, but the FBI’s foray into the swamp of the Clinton Initiative is what really worries them. Its explosive stuff. Just my opinion.
Yeah. Remember his stated goal is to "fundamentally change America".
Change from the most powerful and respected to the least consequential.
EVERYTHING obama does either:
a) Weakens America/AmericansThere are NO counter examples.
b) Distances America's allies
c) Strengthens America's enemies
d) Attacks Christianity
e) Serves islam
f) Harms Israel
Or some combination of the above.
She is not going to recuse. Not that it matters, the public doesn’t even know the difference between “recuse” and what Lynch is claiming she will do. The public will fall for whatever smoke is blown their way.
The Clinton Crime Family. Lynch will order an underling to announce the decision, so it looks like she did not decide.
Wouldn’t the appointment of a special prosecutor push this investigation well past the election? That’s a key goal for the Clintons. Once in power, they can manipulate things to minimize the damage.
Lynch wanted it too.
It will get pushed beyond the election in any case. That was probably the topic of the lynch/Clinton meeting.

The fix is in. Either Comey holds the bag or some of the "career" Justice employees for whom defenestration, or eight shots from a nail gun, or a spontaneously combusting Mercedes, or a "heart attack" or an ambulatory park "suicide" await. The big fun is to watch how they pull it off. They will then toss human brains into the street to distract the Rat zombies.

Odd you should mention that. I remember when the movie "Independence Day" came out, audiences in NYC cheered when the White House was destroyed. Remember who was President at that time?

You’re probably right. In essence, Bill demanded that she push this thing out past the election and he’ll take care of it from there. The Clintons just want to make it to November. After that, they’ll find a way to scuttle the whole thing.
If there are “goods” on Comey, then the Clintons have them and will use them.
