(CNSNews.com) – Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said Thursday that a gun is “an instrument of terrorism” and that “sensible gun control consistent with the 2nd Amendment” is “a matter of homeland security.”
“I believe that sensible gun control consistent with the 2nd Amendment and consistent with a responsible gun owner’s right to own a gun is a matter of homeland security,” Johnson told the Senate Judiciary Committee in response to a question from Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) on whether it was “a significant security vulnerability” that terrorists can get “powerful firearms” and whether this is being exploited by those who would harm us.

Seems to me kicking out the Democrat administration is a much bigger matter of national security.

I am ashamed to admit the Jeh was from Indiana and does not understand Homeland Security, the 2nd Amendment nor Gun Control. In IN “flyover country”:
Homeland Security means Culture, Borders, Language.
Enforce immigration laws, deny (potential) terrorists entry, do NOT establish sanctuary cities where, nor allow those granted visas to overstay them.
2nd Amendment states simply “...the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” Applications for permission, fees and taxes, lists of applicants, etc. have changed this right into a privilege. It is NOT a matter of what tools you own, but what you CHOOSE to do with them that makes a difference.
Gun Control means citizens ARE the militia owning arms and as capable as the riflemen who won our independence from a tyrant King! The Apple Seed definition is best - a rifleman is skilled in arms and capable of controlled sustained fire hitting designated targets consistently at 500 yds with iron sights and a rack grade arm.
