U.S. Sen. Ted Cruzs poll numbers have slid in the aftermath of his unsuccessful bid for the Republican nomination for president, according to the new University of Texas/Texas Politics Project poll released Monday, leaving Gov. Greg Abbott far and away the most popular Republican in the state.
Abbott has an 11 percentage-point approval margin among the general electorate calculated by taking those who like what hes doing minus those who dont and a 65 percentage-point net approval rating among Republicans. Cruz has a 39-point net approval margin among Republicans, but, among the broader electorate, he has an approval margin of -18 points.
Thats the biggest deficit for the big-name Republicans the Texas Politics Project named in the survey...
Insert Trump for Cruz on this website, and you get the zot. SMDH
We like winners, what’s the big deal. Besides, Lyn’ Ted is not eligible to be president, he lies, and is a most irritating person.
Only the immature ones who can't control their urge to be snide and condescending to Freepers who challenge their remarks.
I had just run across it earlier that day or the day before. It is definitely a good one.
Oh, so this is the first year that you managed to souse yourself and get out there and actually DO something, even if it was fetching coffee, which is about your level of expertise; if that. Look, past involvement, in politics, does count; so does having known pols and backroom guys all of one's life...which you haven't, but I have.
BWAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
"Cruz is an honorable guy".
BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Thank for THE biggest laugh of the day/week/maybe ev en the month !
"TEXAN" isn't a verb,in Latin nor in English; ergo, you can't just throw a "us" ending on it and make it seem to be something it isn't! OTOH, the last 4 letters, or your nic, "anus" is a word and exactly what you are!
Keep laughing fool.
Such a juvenile response. I though I was interacting with an adult. Are you sure you are old enough to be on FR and carry out a meaningful discussion?
If you mean did I toot my horn, then yes I will on occasion, particularly if someone questions my knowledge and experience relating to the subject at hand.
As far as others are concerned, I guess that speaks for itself. Collateral damage is unintentional, but sometimes occurs in the jungle that FR has become lately. Too often political issues seem to devolve into personal attacks, thereby discouraging people from expressing their opinions.
What I had in mind was your assertion that your generation differs with others in education and technology. However, if you were saying your generation is less educated and less tech savvy, then I misread your comment.
No, what I’m saying is everything changes as the clock ticks and time goes by. For instance, robotics and the role they play today are different. The affect on the job market demands of your era were minimal compared to today. There was no Internet, home computers, etc. Your education, above the basics, was directed toward supporting the technology of your era. Since then old jobs have disappeared and new jobs have been created or replaced. The family unit has dissolved as has everything else you knew. Consequently the younger voter sees things from a different perspective than you did.
I could go on, but realize the elder generation must instill the values of the founding fathers in them and encourage the younger to take responsibility for themselves and their future. In many cases the elder generation was responsible for doing everything for them or in other cases passing responsibility to the government for their welfare. This has lead us to where we are today. The older generation doesn’t share the same perspective so don’t expect all the issues of the current generation to be resolved by the elder generation leaders. Especially if the younger ones are not involved in the process.
Almost, literally, laughing too hard to type. My mistake when I said, “a little condescending.” How about, the Mt Everest of condescension?
But points for humor—lots and lots of points for humor.
OK, I promise to do better if you quit laughing.
Speaking of humor, here’s a video that might give you a few laughs:

You are the fool and the more you post, the more you prove just what and who you are.
And a nice day to you too...
You ignored the fact that I laid out your incorrect statements re Latin endings and why your infantile, uneducated, pretend use of same is wrong. Thanks for yet more laughs !
Wanna see the juvenile poster? GO LOOK INTO THE NEAREST MIRROR!
BTW...if you take the last 5 letters of your nic, "canus", it means "GRAY HAIRS! LOL
You do provide SO many great laughs! Bless your heart...
So if you take the last eight letters does that mean I colored my white hair?
exicanus
The prefix "ex", in Latin ( there can't be the "i", though )means "because of", or "out of". So it would probably mean "because of old age".
It's been a very long time since I took Latin, but I know that it doesn't mean that one dyed the gray or white hair.
