Ending one of the longest, costliest and most bitterly partisan congressional investigations in history, the House Select Committee on Benghazi issued its final report on Tuesday, finding no new evidence of culpability or wrongdoing by Hillary Clinton in the 2012 attacks in Libya that left four Americans dead.
The 800-page report, however, included some new details about the night of the attacks, and the context in which it occurred, and it delivered a broad rebuke of government agencies like the Defense Department, the Central Intelligence Agency and the State Department - and the officials who led them - for failing to grasp the acute security risks in the Libyan city, and especially for maintaining outposts in Benghazi that they could not protect.
The committee, led by Representative Trey Gowdy, Republican of South Carolina, also harshly criticized an internal State Department investigation that it said had allowed officials like Mrs. Clinton, then the secretary of state, to effectively choose who would investigate their actions. In addition, it reiterated Republicans’ complaints that the Obama administration had sought to thwart the investigation by withholding witnesses and evidence.
The report, however, did not dispute that United States military forces stationed in Europe could not have reached Benghazi in time to rescue the personnel who died - a central finding of previous inquiries.

It was reported at the time that Obama was sleeping because he had a fund raiser in Las Vegas the next day.
What about the military forces in Tripoli, Malta, the Mediterranean???
Hillary might have committed her own treason during the attack.

In a situation, you go with the resources you have available—and, in this particular case, we did have that 130-man Marine force recon team sitting there at Sigonella. Even if I only got 50 of them over there, that would have been significant in turning the situation around. We may not have been able to save the ambassador, but we certainly could have saved those other two SEALs that were over on the annex.

So, “What difference does it make?” It makes all the difference in the world. You cannot flaunt the truth here, just walk away from it and, basically, tell the American public to stuff it. The point on the organizing the two Marine anti-terrorist teams in Rota, that was good to go ahead and stand ’em up. What I find incomprehensible: The first team, it took them 23 hours to go a few hundred miles from Rota to Tripoli. I could go around the world in 23 hours, so that makes absolutely no sense to me.

I watched it too and I didn’t come away with the same conclusions as the NYT did.
The presser was rather earth shattering. I have no doubts as to the credibility of Gowdy or the other congress critters up there. They were clearly FURIOUS. And damn near in tears at times.
Lots of luck, Hillary, trying to swat this one away. Especially once Trump gets ahold of the report.

The team in Tripoli *self deployed*. At no time was “any wheel turned in the direction of Benghazi”.
IOW, no help was ever sent by anyone in the administration.
We will never know if help could have arrived in time because nobody tried to send it.
Libya was supposed to be the *crown jewel* in BO and Hillary’s foreign policy. They were not going to allow anyone to find out a.q. had just attacked. BO had just been blathering about how he had *decimated* a.q., remember?
It was all politics. At 10:08 pm, Hillary was busy concocting spin, ie the video lie—she em’d Chelsea with the truth and told Morsi the truth right away.
At no time did she concern herself with sending help to our people. She was more worried about offending the Libyan people, making soldiers take their uniforms on and off 3 times at the airport.
If you’re not outraged, you don’t grasp the situation.

I have been outrages since the day Obama took office...I have been doubly outraged since the day Clinton became SoS...
I am becoming even MORE outraged at the so-called “conservative republicans” who are fighting against our only hope of defeating Islamic socialism destroying our once great country...Donald Trump!!!!!
